"diluc, this journey is getting like..really tiring." Aether (the traveler), complained.

diluc had woken up this morning in a mood, he was snappish when he was usually calm and collected..maybeee a bit 'emo' too. Aether giggled , ignoring the raised eyebrow the redhead threw at him.

when he seemed to be getting too restless he had asked the blonde to take a quick walk with him around the winery. but then decided he wanted to go hunting for lamp grass.

it was fun for a minute, but soon Aether got really tired , and then kaeya had managed to find them along the way and they've been nonstop bickering back and forth. aether rolled his eyes , crossing his arms and slowing his walk a little behind the two jack ass adopted brothers.

honestly aether just wanted to chill back at the winery with his mans, but he agreed fresh air would be good for the body, not more arguing.

"-horrible taste honestly."

"kaeya-"

"what-what! grape juice is horrible, just my opinion ."

"its really not, you just want a reason to complain."

"blasphemy."

diluc reached a gloved hand out and pushed the blue haired man. a shocked squawk because he almost tripped into the pond, he turned and retaliated with a harder shoved to diluc's shoulder.

he chuckled when the red head stumbled hard for a second , aether sighing loudly when he reached forwards just in time to pull him back from falling.

"children. come on."

"children?" kaeya turned with a glare, aether smirking when diluc just huffed.

"yes, only kids bicker like you both were doing."

"that's rich coming from you, dear aether." aether glared , speeding up a bit again to playfully but gently kick the back of kaeya's boot, dodging the blind swipe at him from kaeya.

"what's that supposed to mean." aether asked, giggling at a little fox they passed that slipped off a rock nearby the trail. "y'know.." kaeya threw a smirk.

aether only frowned a tiny bit, his fingers gently catching the chain on the back of diluc's coat, ignoring the chuckle he heard from the redhead at the action, he only trailed after like a little duckling when he felt unsafe or unsure of situations, he once told diluc when he embarrassingly did it during a quest they took only two days into knowing each other. aether smiled at the memory-

"when you called my dear emotionally troubled brother here, daddy." welp . kaeya ruined all the happiness.

aether's tiny smile was wiped right off his face, an 'oof' escaped his lips when diluc froze mid step and he collided with his back.

"w-what-" aether stuttered , his heart felt like it dropped through his ass right now, his blood cold as he stared up into his boyfriends, adopted brothers glinting blue eyes. "well don't be shy now little aether-"

"kaeya. knock it off." diluc mumbled seriously. the red head decided it wasn't a serious topic, his brother wouldn't stay focused on it for long nor would he bother the traveler with it after this day, he had more important things to do.

he turned, ready to gather his boyfriend up and continue walking the path, he honestly gave up on lamp flowers awhile ago, the walking through nature bit was just nice, but before he could aether jerked back away from his touch.

he was frowning even more, glassy eyes glaring right into his red ones.

"h-how does- why does kaeya kno-" aether hiccups. diluc felt his cold black emo heart shatter into tiny peices. "aeth-!" diluc stopped walking forward when the blonde took another step back.

"no don't aether me ! how does kaeya k-know about that!" aether pointed a finger at the other man.

"I dont know-"

"I might have uhm.. overheard you both-" kaeya flushed a bright red, turning his back to them both as he cleared his throat. with a deep breath he turned his head slightly with a smirk . "naughty , naughty. out in the open where the knights might catch you?" he chuckled and continued the path forwards.

"kaeya!" diluc shouted angrily , turning to chase after his brother, but a small hand grabbed his sleeve. he turned but before he knew it a smaller body slammed into his front , clutching him in a tight hug.

"sorry, diluc-y." the red head chuckled cutely, heart melting when two big golden puppy eyes looked up at him, aether's chin resting on his chest.

"its alright , darling. nothing to be sorry for-"

"ya-huh! i didn't mean to b-be that loud!" diluc rolled his eyes , reaching a hand behind the boys head and tugging his braid lightly, smirking at the small shiver he felt and leant down to whisper in his ears. "don't worry. daddy loved it."

and with those words diluc turned to catch up to his brother that decided to take on a frozen slip lurking around like a dumbass, leaving a bright red aether standing in the middle of the pathway.
