Jennie's POV

It's 5 in the morning and the event doesn't start until 9:30am. I had little drink last night and fun chat with Lisa. Speaking of Lisa, she's tucked in her bed sleeping peacefully. It's still raining outside so it means it's dark and lightning is striking together with thunder. I love rain but not lightning, especially not thunder.

A loud thunder went for a couple of seconds which made me jump into Lisa's bed. Good thing I didn't land on her but I went and snuggle beside her trying to find comfort. I'm really scared of thunder.

"Jennie?" I heard her. She turned and faced me although her eyes were still closed.

"hm?" I said as i try to hide under her sheets.

"You're trembling, come close" She said as she pulled me closer to her and gave me the warmest embrace. Her scent is still there. She cuddled me. I feel so tiny in her arms. I can feel her breath landing on my shoulder.

"Go back to sleep" She said, I did what she told me and closed my eyes feeling her warmth and hearing her heart beat.

It's been ten minutes and I cannot sleep. Every time thunder hits, I flinch and I can feel that Lisa wasn't able to sleep well because of me. sorry.

I felt her hug became tight every time I flinch.

thank you, even though you're sleeping, resting, you still try and protect me.

I close me eyes and went to slumber.

I woke up, the rain is still falling and I am still in captive. I heard her soft little snores.

cute.

I tried to move away from it but every time I move she tightens them, I tried until I got exhausted and once again gave in to her hug. It's still dark so I assume that I only slept for a few minutes. thunders disappear but lightning is still there. I felt Lisa moved but only to loosen her arms that's wrapped around me. Now I am able to move.

I roll off the bed and went to the toilet. I went through my phone and found out that there's a storm coming to our direction.

what about the event?

I shut my phone and went back to my bed.

I've been staring at the ceiling for almost an hour now and the rain hasn't stopped yet. I heard Lisa groaned and moved from one side to the other side of the bed. I was looking at her when she slowly opened her eyes.

"Good morning" I said giving her a big smile to brighten up the dull morning.

"What time is it?" She asked.

"It's still 7:00 in the morning" I said I saw her eyes widen.

"Why is it still dark?" She asked as she tried to internalise what's happening.

"There's a storm coming at our direction" I said. I saw her nod. She burry her face on her pillow. she must be really exhausted.

Time went by fast, the event is cancelled. of course because of the storm and because the people attending couldn't make it because some roads were closed due to the strong wind that caused the trees to collapse.

It's half the day now and the mood outside is still the same as they were last night. I saw Lisa pouring a chocolate drink on her glass as she stares at the raging sea visible on our balcony.

"I wanna go home now" I said, it's really boring here. I was about to leave the room when the lights went out.

"Did the power went down?" Lisa asked as she tries to turn on the lights.
