Aiken

I was exhausted as another fairy stumbled to the ground. I was getting good at controlling the wand, but I don't want any of this. I looked at the dark sky, various magics circling it. A second ago, this kingdom is a paradise, and now, it looks more like a dungeon. I sighed as I looked at the fairy I defeated. I saw how his tears fell and looked at the dark, gray sky one last time and looked at me straight in the eyes, "P.. protect this kingdom, m.. my home." And slowly closed his eyes. Judging by the fairy's condition, I knew already that the Queen has ruled poorly. That there is more in this punishment than just violating the law.

I ran to the other side of the kingdom where I found Aurora, who is fighting with a fairy who has.. bone magic? "Well, look who we have here. The great fairy who fell in love with a mere human," Said the woman.

"Well, look who we have here, the great fairy who killed her own brother because of jealousy," Aurora stated back. I can feel the dark aura surrounding them, and by every moment that passes, I can feel it getting stronger.

"I'll fucking kill you, bitch, don't talk like you know everything." In a moment, she struck Aurora with her bone that grows out of her body. As the bone went straight to Aurora, I noticed the bone glowed before it struck her. It created a massive explosion, I couldn't see Aurora with all this smoke.

I observed the fairy with the bone magic and she really grew bones out of her body. Wow, unusual yet magical. "Osteomagic, I may say, I'm impressed," I was astounded as I heard Aurora, she was flying but her wings grew bigger this time. "And, you've learned how to control them. You've grown, just more reason why I have to kill you." Aurora then charged with her wind magic. It freely allowed her to generate and manipulate wind.

She created a tornado, big enough to strike down the fairy and destroy everything within the area. Powerful. I never imagined Aurora this powerful, and this isn't even her full power. I smiled, you are just full of surprises aren't you, it makes me fall in love with you even more.

I saw Aurora move towards the fairy, she's flying as she controls the wind. "I.. Impressive, you really stood up to your title, the Heir of the Moons," The Heir of the Moons? Is that like the most powerful fairy in the kingdom or something? "I.. I'll a.. admit.. ugh," She was in pain as she struggles to stand up to face Aurora. "You.. are strong, and.." She faced Aurora but this time, her eyes were sad, "I.. I'm jealous," She gulped as she struggles to look at Aurora with a straight face.

"Hey, you're not weak," Aurora has gotten much calmer than she is a second ago, her wings were back to the normal state and her eyes were comforting as she approaches the wounded fairy, "You don't have to be jealous of other fairies because of their great control in power. Killing someone because of jealousy.. won't solve anything," Aurora tucked in her hair behind her ears and gave the fairy a hug, "Instead of wasting your time getting envious, why don't you use that time to.. train? To improve, that's the only way to become strong. Listen, if they can do it, why can't you?" She helped the fairy stand up and they smiled at each other. Jealousy, huh, you are always the cause of a wrecked relationship.

Aurora must have seen me during their battle because after she waved goodbye to the fairy, she went straight to my arms, "How's my baby?" This feels like home. In the arms of your beloved.

"I'm fine, see?" She twirls around to show me that she is completely fine and doesn't have any scar in her body. "You, how are you?" She came at me with welcoming arms with comforting eyes.

"Hmm.. I'm tired.. but I have to keep fighting," I held her face and our nose touched, "I promised not to give up," She scrunched her nose and gave me a peck. "I love you." I said without looking away.

"I love you, more than you'll ever know."

It was such a warm feeling. To have peace in the middle of a chaos.

"Wassup lovebirds," I looked behind me and saw Dom, Austin and other friends of Aurora. They were smiling and has no scars in their body.

"Uhh, quick question," They all looked at me with their brows furrowed, "Uh, is it natural for y'all to heal on your own? Like when you got cut by a knife, does it heal on its own?" I asked, curiosity rushing in me.

"No, our bodies are just like the human body. We need time to heal the wounds but with the recovery magic, it can heal quickly, but only some fairies have been blessed with recovery magic.. so, yeah," The girl friend of Aurora explained, "By the way, I'm Clare, you're Aiken, right?" She flew towards me and reached her hand out for a handshake.

"Yeah yeah, thanks for explaining," I smiled widely at her and looked at Aurora and her other friends, "Did we win?" I asked, getting my hopes up. I mean, the clan is merely or I think, wiped out. I don't see any fairies lingering around anymore except for them.

"You don't better get your hopes up. I know the Queen won't let us get away that easily, the Queen hates losing. Remember that, Aiken," Dom said at me with his eyes staring sharply. If this is supposed to threatened me, then he's wrong. This is not enough for me to feel threatened.

"Yeah, then we better not back down. The last thing I want to feel is devastation." I talked back, not even flinching a muscle. We'll fix this, we'll fix the chaos we started.

Then came a loud crash just in front of us. We were all lying in the ground as the pieces of wood came flying in our direction, "Well well well, welcome home, Aurora." A terrifying voice talked in the middle of a deafening silence after the loud crash.

Someone from our group shed light, and I clearly saw the three gigantic fairies right in front of our noses. I can sense their supernatural strength and power. These are no ordinary fairies, they're the strongest ones.

"The Three Moonlight, the strongest in our clan. They surpassed the Queen in terms of combat, so be very careful, Aiken. If you don't, you may not come out here alive." Aurora looked at me with those eyes that are full of sympathy, rage, and confidence.

I smiled at her and caressed her hand, "Don't worry, we'll make it out of here.. alive. Both of us." I nodded and hugged her. I'm scared.

She let go of the hug and she told me to hide behind the tree.
