'Nothing,'' you spoke, walking inside the kitchen, fetching a glass of cold, refreshing water. ''Nothing?'' ''Nothing. Just wait for the summer to be over, perhaps.''

''And I'm the boring one?''
''Never said you were boring, just quiet. shy.''
He nodded. ''Have any friends?''
You shook your head. ''None?'' he said, cocking his eyebrow
''I have a girlfriend,'' you said. ''We don't talk often.''
You grab a towel to wipe the beads of sweat on your forehead.

Rudy went back to your room, flopping on your bed in exhaustion. You went to reading a novel, yet again. That's how you spent your time. Reading.

You put your h/t (hair texture) hair in a ponytail, grab your headset, music blaring through the headset almost immediately. Thoughts almost flooded your head.Rudy. His blond hair, muscular body. You bit your lip.Maybe he sent the wrong message.
Maybe he wasn't the arrogant man you surely thought he was.

''What are you listening to, kid?''
You jumped in surprise.
''Did I scare you?''
You rolled your eyes.
''Kid? That's my new nickname?'' You chuckled.
''Hm, maybe.'' He smiled. He grabbed the headset off your head.
"Dexys midnight runners?'' He questioned. ''I love this band'' he smirked, setting your headset down.
''What do you say, a midday swim?'' He asked.
You nodded. ''Meet you in five'' he smirked, walking out of the guest room.

-

''What are you thinking about?'' Rudy spoke a glass of wine in his hand.
''Nothing.''
''Not gonna' tell me?''  He smiled.
''Nope.''
''Can you believe this? she's not gonna' tell me.''  He spoke to your mother.
He splashed water in your face, a smirk plastered on your face. You rolled your eyes. ''Oh really?''  you chuckled.  You splashed his face, vise versa for a few moments.
'' Ciao'' A familiar voice spoke.
Chiara.
Fuck.
She'd changed. She'd change quite a lot.
He braces removed, her teeth perfectly straight and white.
Her skin, her pale skin now tanned.
Her body--fuck. Her body.

Rudy's eyes lit up. "Ciao'' he spoke.
''Hello, Y/N.'' She spoke, unbuttoning her white dress.
''Mind if I join you guys?'' she questioned, earning an automatic ''hell yes' from Rudy.
Chiara was a family friend. She had completely changed in the span of two months. Her dark hair was now blond and vibrant. Her skin, now flawless. She was obviously stunning before, and you'd known that. But, now, she's different.
She dived into the pool, his arms snaked around her waist.
You hopped out of the pool. ''Going anywhere?'' Rudy questioned. ''Just tired'' you said. ''Later'' He said, his full attention on Chiara.

-

The streets were quiet, not one single sound detected. It was suspected, in a small town like this--no one was hardly here. You'd be shocked if you saw three people at once. It made for a perfect location for a summer home, quiet. Lifeless. You hated it, yet loved it at the same time. ''What're doing here?''  A sudden voice spoke. Rudy, yet again with Chiara. Were they dating? Or was she obsessed, the way she obsessed over you last summer? ''Just-''
''Isn't it past your bedtime?''
This man was only unkind when around people, you couldn't quite explain why.
''My father doesn't believe in bedtimes,'' you said, looking up into his eyes. ''Oh really.'' he smiled. ''I'm guessing she doesn't rebel?  I bet she's a good girl (A/N: SCREAMING), is that right Chiara?''
She nodded.  ''The best''
He chuckled. ''I'll let you be, good girl.'' He smirked.
He walked off.
''What happened to ''kid''?''  You called.
''Good girl suits you more''  he winked, continuing his walk.
Good girl.
