The moon glistened, the stars sparkled. The day was over, now turned into another gorgeous night in Italy.  You were cuddled up against the large window in the guest room. A book was in your grasp yet again.

 ''Love is wiser than wisdom''

Your voice was spoken-spoken, reading word by word. line by line.

''Ring, ring''

Bells rang, indicating that dinner was ready. You hopped on your feet, throwing on a shirt. You walked throughout the halls of your house, opening the door to your room. You knocked. ''Rudy?'' you whispered, knocking on the wooden door once again. He hummed, his eyes closed. ''What do you want, kid?'' he asked, your pink comforter covering his figure. ''Dinner is-''
''Mhm, not hungry. I'll pass''
You nodded.
''Hey, Y/N?'' he called out, grasping your attention.
''Yes, Rudy''
"The door. Can you shut it please?''
''Sure thing, anything else?''
''Nah' that's all.''
You closed the door shut, making your way to the table outdoors.

''Where's rudy?' Your father asked, pouring red wine into a glass.
''Tired'' you mumbled.
''Hey, papa?''
''Yes, dear?''
''pensi che sia un po '... come si dice questo ... arrogante?''
"Rudy? I don't think he's arrogant, dear.'' Your mother had said, eating the dish that Mafalda, the cook, had made.
''just shy, sweetheart'' your father said, smiling.

You returned a smile, eating the food Mafalda cooked quite fast.

-

''Morning, dear'' your mother said, taking a sip of her usual unsweetened coffee. ''Morning, Y/N'' Rudy smiled.
Odd.
Maybe he wasn't arrogant.
You smiled, grabbing a handful of grapes and popping one into your mouth.
''Y/N, dear''
''Hm?''
''How about you take Rudy around town?'' your mother suggested, earning a nod from Rudy.
You hesitated.
He knew you weren't fond of him, nor did you necessarily
like him. Which made him smirk, he knew--he just knew you didn't enjoy his presence, which motivated him to spend more time with you.
''Sure, mother.'' you smiled.
You drank a sip of orange juice, grabbing your bike.
He bought his own bike, conveniently.

You rode around the town, very few words exchanged.
''You don't talk very much, do you?''
''I choose not to waste my air, nor my time'' Rudy said his bike taken a sudden halt.
''Why? why live such a boring life?''
''Just how I like things.'' He added, dropping his bike.
''Do you like Italy so far?''
He nodded. ''It's quite beautiful'' he spoke.  ''I take it back--about your room. That bed is insanely comfy'' He chuckled, stuffing his black ray-bands into his pocket. You smiled, walking toward the small cafe. ''Want anything?'' you offered. He nodded. '' water, please''
His eyes connected to a notepad, taking note of every detail of this small town.
''Oh, c'mon. Have a little pizazz.'' You rolled your eyes.
He smiled. ''Alright then, I'll have  whatever you're having.'' He chuckled.
After ordering two expressos, you made your way back home.
''Y/N?''  Rudy had asked.
''Yes?''

''What do you do for fun around here?''
