Once I thought that my flesh was all there was to me,
My body blinded me to the reality of my spiritual nature, and spared me the burdens of my spiritual labour!

My impending physical death blinded me to the reality of my eternal existance,
And spared me the urgency of the moment!
I ate, drunk and made merry for I thought that that was all there was to my existence!

But now I know that I am a spirit, with a soul, living in a body.
And my spiritual labours are my primary concern!!

Now I know that one day I will shade off this physical body, and give an account of my life to my maker and Lord in my celestial home!

But I am glad that I know now,
It gives me a chance to make an eternal difference!
