November had come fast around the corner, bringing its cold icy winds and thunderous storms that rattled through Hogwarts. Luckily for El and Jada that didn't bother them as they had found themselves sneaking out of the Gryffindor tower and heading to the girls bathroom on the third floor that nobody used every occasional night. They'd play pranks on Moaning Myrtle, one of the schools' ghosts, or sit in the toilets drinking some of Jada's fire whiskey she had snuck in at the beginning of the year, giggling to themselves until one couldn't walk in a straight line anymore. It was very much needed and all fun and games away from the trio! They hadn't fallen out but they had all agreed to spend more time in their separate groups, purely because El and Harry still hadn't talked since their fight nearly two weeks ago and it was too tense and awkward getting a stubborn (but more upset than anything) El even in the same room as Harry. She wouldn't even look at him! If he did get too close she'd run the other way or pretend she was talking to someone else. Sometimes in class, if Harry got an answer wrong she had even started to snort quietly under her breath, which caught the attention of Draco Malfoy. He was starting to get annoyed by it, hoping that El was better than that and wouldn't team up with Draco... but he understood it was what he probably deserved.

"You know when you actually talk to him," Jada slurred out, fire whiskey bottle in hand whilst sat on a closed toilet seat, "Will you please forgive him? Because I've heard it from himself what actually happened and it's not as bad as you-" El shot up, head blurred a little bit, "You've talked to him!" She shrieked as Jada giggled to herself. "I'm allowed, you know? It was after his Qudditch Match, the one where you made a big song and dance about how you weren't going to be there?" She lingered on her words, starting to walk up and down the line of toilets slowly, "Oh yeah, the one where he lost miserably!" El giggled to herself with revenge, she really wasn't taking it well. Jada groaned out loud at her best friends pettiness, "Probably your fault that we lost, El!" El quickly turned her smile into a straight face, wondering what they had talked about, "Wh- what was his excuse?" El asked, she was thankfully more sober than Jada. She looked up from her pacing and rolled her eyes. "It was pathetic really. He just said how he was actually going up there to tell her to screw off- I mean he didn't use those words. Then she got all guilt-trippy and batted her eyelashes like this-" Jada giggled and did an impression of what she assumed happened with Cho and Harry, El laughed loudly at her attempt, "Then she kissed him. Pulled him up the stairs, he tripped so they both awkwardly laughed, she pulled him into the Owlery, kissed his face off and well, you know the rest." El grimaced at the engraved thought, her heart was just starting to feel a little better as well! "Doesn't excuse his behaviour. Went up there to tell her to sod off and ends up making out with her! He's talking out of his a-" El started to vent loudly but stopped as quick as the lightning outside when a wailing erupted through the pipes of the toilet opposite her. It was Moaning Myrtle. Great.

"Hate to be a bother but I couldn't help but listen to what you have been talking about and thought I could offer some gossip of my own." She cockily announced, drifting over to hover more near El. Jada groaned again, "What gossip do we need to hear from you?" Myrtle shot a dirty look Jada's way and back to El whilst forcing a fake smile, "It's about that gorgeous Harry Potter." Myrtle pretended to faint dramatically down into the floor before quickly appearing back to where she was hovering. Jada spoke up, arms crossed tightly against her chest. "I don't think he's that gorgeous..." but to El, he most definitely was and that was agony to accept. Myrtle shrieked, "I think he is! Anyway, would you like to hear it or not." Her pompous voice was loud within the toilets, which worried El that someone might have heard. She thought for a moment, trying to be the bigger person and say no but since she was such a curious person, she couldn't! "Fine. Go on." El mumbled, bracing herself for what was to come. Myrtle giggled excitedly, "A couple of days ago, I was circling a blocked drain and I heard crying that wasn't my own coming from the boys' bathroom. I obviously went to check and noticed it was Harry sitting all by himself with his clothes on, drenching himself under the shower." Myrtle giggled, "It was after his Quidditch Match by the looks of what he was wearing. I went to go and see if he were okay but his teammates had walked in before I got a chance." She said happily as if she loved spreading rumours, "They were asking what they could do to help but all he could say was your name." She threw a look of jealously at El and El felt her heart drop slowly in her chest, regret and grief filling her veins. She hadn't realised how upset he was. El admitted to herself that she had been selfish for the past few weeks but it was only because she was also upset. If  she knew just how upset Harry was maybe she would have gone and talked to him. "How bad was he crying?" She worriedly asked a smirking Myrtle, "Bawling." She smirked again, gliding over towards the sink. "Oh no..." El sunk more into the closed lid of the toilet and buried her head within her knees. Jada tipsily ran over, "Myrtle lies! I don't think I've ever witnessed Harry bawling his eyes out." Jada insisted, crouching down to be eye level with El, who looked up from her knees. "If he's lost his first ever match and upset over losing a friend, then yeah I can imagine I'd be pretty worked up to the point I'd bawl my eyes out too!" El got up off of the toilet and went to the sinks, "What happened after that?"she desperately asked the grey ghost, "Well the boys on his team weren't very knowledgable on the subject of girls but they're coming up with a plan on how to get you two locked in the same room together to talk it out. Those two ginger boys said they were going to guard the door until you gave in." El felt her stomach flip with dread, oh no! Jada immediately burst out of the toilet cubicle, rather excited, "That's a brilliant idea!" El shot Jada a look of utter shock and disgust which caused Jada to back track, "I mean, that's absolutely dreadful. Really not the right thing to do..." She clumsily walked past an annoyed El, and sat on one of the sinks that Myrtle wasn't occupying. "Obviously that's a Fred and George idea. So, let's add a little bit of Jada. First of all, we all make mistakes. He obviously has had a crush on her for a whole year so if she's going to full frontal snog him, he's definitely going to be in shock and kiss her back before realising that was a shit idea. That part we didn't know until now." Myrtle gasped but El knew that her words were true deep down. Remus had said a similar thing a few weeks ago. "But what do I even say to him?" El started to pace the dark room, the wet tiles echoing her foot steps. "Ask to talk to him alone, let him actually tell his side of the story and just let him speak. Then see how you feel afterwards but do not under any circumstances start an argument, El!" Jada warned, pointing her wobbly finger at her best friend. Myrtle chuckled and said, "That's what his biggest worry is..." El couldn't feel anymore worse about herself than she was in that moment. "I can't even look at his face without getting upset!" Jada smirked, "You've got this, El. If you can fly a Hypogriff into school grounds you can talk to Harry Potter!" The three girls giggled slightly and El was now more than ready to start inviting him back into her life... somewhat.
