It had been about two weeks since El and Harry had nearly died. Letters had been piling up to their noses asking if they were safe and what they had been doing. The Daily Prophet got hold the story about Voldemort's return but the Ministry were opting to not reveal the details of how he had returned. Fudge was somewhat embarrassed that two teenagers had been taken by Death Eaters so easily, and decided to leave it a mystery to the public. He was that embarrassed that he didn't even want to speak to El and Harry face to face. He had been communicating through his workers... to Sirius and Remus' relief since they both despised the man. Sirius and Harry had been pretending to play Quidditch in the front room where El's family tree lie (the only room Sirius didn't mind ruining) whilst El and Remus had been catching up in her own room whilst playing a game of Wizard Cards. Remus had been spending the Christmas holidays with the three of them, not wanting to leave El's side in particular. He'd left for for a couple of days to go back to his home where he transitioned into his Werewolf form and had come back to 12 Grimmauld place, bruised and battered but it didn't stop him from making sure El and Harry were still okay. Elektra realised this and made sure to help him feel as comfortable as humanly possible, bringing him cups of steaming hot chocolate whenever possible. He thought she wanted something from him at first but slowly began to realise that she was doing it because she wanted too.

The game of Wizard Cards was a slow one, but not agonisingly slow where they were both getting bored, it was a slow burning one where neither of them knew who could possibly win. Remus had been going back and forth in his mind about what to say to Elektra about Christmas. The Christmas they were having before Voldemort became a thing they now had to worry about. Sirius and Remus had decided to let it slide until she brought it up again, but she hadn't been bringing it up. At all! It was like there was a big elephant in the room and Remus couldn't stand it. He couldn't stand not telling her what had actually happened and he was utterly desperate to know how she had found the letter that he kept for memorabilia sake. Sirius didn't even know about the letter... he thought about showing him but felt like now wasn't a good time for that sort of thing. But maybe today was a good day for El and Remus to have a little chat about how things were going.

"So are we going to talk about what happened on the good part of Christmas?" Remus asked awkwardly as El put her card down onto the pile after Remus, cocking her head to the side, "The good part? You mean the fact that I now have two gay dads?" El smirked, trying to hide her giggle. Remus chuckled slightly, looking down at his cards realising he needed to rip the (what the muggle's called) band-aid off. "I will admit that I am into men, yes." El kept her eyes on Remus who was looking at his cards. She thought about how long he might have kept that to himself (other than Sirius.) Did James even know? Lily? Marlene? "Okay!" El said happily, smiling from ear to ear trying to show him as he looked up, that she wasn't bothered like some people might have been.
"However, Sirius is definitely into both women and men." Remus reminded her, not wanting to disregard Celeste from a big moment of Sirius' life, as he tried to make El feel as comfortable as humanly possible. She was feeling a little awkward at the thought of her dad making out with the man that taught her how to defend herself against Boggarts but nevertheless, she was happy it was him at least. "Are you two a couple?" El asked innocently, stopping the game of cards to concentrate on Remus as he was with her. Remus shook his head quickly, "No, but we can't hide anything from miss curious, can we?" He smirked up slightly at El who's cheeks had gone red, "I didn't mean to find out." She insisted, as she tried to hide her embarrassed face, "Didn't mean to find out? What were you doing snooping around my office then?" Remus asked, thinking he had got her good but El had a very good reason, "I was looking for the Marauders Map and stumbled upon it, I swear!" Remus shook his head,"Too curious for your own good." They both laughed softly. She was too curious and it definitely got her into trouble often.
