Elektra and Harry lay fast asleep on the comfort of her bed after two very hot showers. They didn't want to be alone, especially after what had happened within the past seven to eight hours they had been missing. She had sent the letter that was addressed to Remus on Christmas night, as it was well into the early hours of the morning by the time Sirius had gotten home with Remus running behind him as they shouted for both of them in such a panic. El and Harry were that worn out that they hadn't heard the thumping coming up the sets of stairs to get to the attic, and the door that had burst open in a loud crash on the wall behind it. Newt however, had heard, and awoke with a fright surrounded by a few insects that El had given him.
Sirius and Remus paused before entering her room, relief washing over them as they took in the sight. The two teenagers were sprawled out on her fluffy bed, spaced apart from one another whilst Harry had his arm gently draped across her waist in a protective manner. Sirius smiled to himself as he quickly paced round to El's side of the bed and crouched down to her level. He rested his hand on her and gently shook as she rolled over mumbling something incoherent in her sleep. He kept shaking, until she fluttered her eyelids open, adjusting to the darkness of her room. El jumped a little, still on edge yet relieved to see her father in front of her instead of another Death Eater.
"Dad!" She whispered loudly, jumping up a little and wrapping her arms tightly around him. He laughed slightly, not out of funniness but out of the pure joy that filled his mind with knowing that she was alive. He hugged her tightly back, smelling her freshly washed hair as he breathed her in. "You're alive... my sweet, sweet girl. You're alive." He whispered, trying not to wake Harry up who was softly snoring in the background. Remus had walked over to his side, noticing the long gash that lay on his arm. It had stopped bleeding but it was still very prominent. "Poor sod..." He whispered as he got out his wand and quietly performed the Episkey charm on him. The skin started to slowly graft over mending itself, but the scar that remained on him was another memory reminding Harry that Voldemort was his worst enemy. Elektra shifted in her bed, sitting up fully to look at Sirius and Remus. Her two dads... she thought to herself, yawning wide. "I could really use a cup of tea." She whispered, looking from Sirius to Remus and smiling softly. Despite what was going on, she tried to put on a brave face. That's what the world needed right now. Bravery.
The kitchen was cold and quiet as Kreature had taken himself to the servant's room. Sirius put the kettle on the stove, full of water for the three of them. El sat down curled up in her blanket from the beanbag in her room, as Remus sat next to her in a hurry. He was just as worried as Sirius was, "You're brilliant, do you know that? How you managed to do all of that and escape is beyond me. Come here..." He opened his tired arms, welcoming her into one of his warm hugs, to which she did without a second thought. "I'm sorry about before, Remus. I was too forward." She mumbled into his chest, sulking loudly so that Sirius could hear too. But he shushed her quickly, "Needn't worry. We'll talk about that another time. There's more important things going on." He whispered into her hair, as he rubbed her back. Remus glanced up at Sirius who was watching the two of them and smiling to himself. "But you are important-" El began, lifting her head up but he had shushed her again, shaking his head. "I think what we need now is that cup of tea and a somewhat detailed explanation of what went on, so you can go back to bed for the remainder of the day." Remus reminded her, letting go and casually leaning back into his chair. Sirius spoke up from pouring three cups of piping hot tea, "Indeed. I think we could all use a good rest." Remus knew that this would most likely be the most calm she would get in a while.
They sat sipping their teas, Sirius and Remus sitting quite close to El in fear she'd disappear again. El had told them exactly what had happened, in the order that it happened in as she watched their faces twist regretfully at the thought of El and Harry being in any form of pain and them not being there to help. Remus was writing as much as he could down, onto a piece of spare parchment to get the story straight before anyone forgot pieces of valuable information.
