Harry and El trekked high and low through the thick snow filled forest, slipping occasionally on some of the ice that had formed underneath their feet on the wet forest floor. Harry was adamant that he knew the exact location of the Port key since his parents had left him with an exact set of instructions. A lot wasn't making sense for El from this night, but what hurt the most was that Voldemort had returned before their very eyes and the whole population of Wizarding World that weren't Death Eaters, had no idea what they were in for. Even muggles, knowing the darkness that was Voldemort!
"They said it was just opposite the lake... it took the shape of an old boot." Harry stressed, looking high and low around the edge of the lake. One of El's many questions that were constantly swimming around in her mind during the trek, was how did his parents even know it was nearby? She didn't ask him though after he snapped at her on the beach for saying that they were dead. "Harry, don't you think we should talk about the fact that Voldemort is back?" El questioned, watching him frantically look around at the dark grassy floor, "All I want to do is get back home. That's it." He snapped again, hugging loudly as he did. El remained quiet for the time being, giving him some space as she hung back. They had been walking for the past two hours, deep within the forest by the time they had gotten to the lake. "There!" Harry shrieked, pulling out his wand and casting the Lumos charm. El was worried he'd get expelled from Hogwarts for the magic he had used tonight but she hoped that they would understand the situation and that it called for it. Would they even believe them when they were to break the news? She looked up, into the light from his wand and saw an old manky brown leather boot by itself in the corner. They both ran to it, El popping Newt back into her pocket, as Harry turned around and grabbed her hand to pull her along. He definitely wanted to get out of there as fast as he could. "Where exactly will this take us?" El asked hurriedly, as Harry reached the boot. "Diagon Alley apparently. It already has a pre arranged destination..."
Remus had sent off letters to Dumbledore and Severus in hopes they would be able to offer a helping hand. He had little hope for Severus as his past with both James and Sirius was not a pleasant one. Sirius was sat by the fire, trying to keep calm as Molly handed them each a cup of tea after cup of tea, to soothe their nerves. Sirius was zoned out, staring blankly into the flames as Arthur and Remus spoke from next to him. Hermione and her family had left as Hermione felt like it wasn't safe for two muggles to be around them in that situation. But she begged Ron to send her an owl with an update immediately. But knowing Ron and how lazy he was sometimes, he'd most likely forget, so she asked Jada too who was more than happy to fill her in as soon as she could. Molly had sent the rest of the Weasley's up to bed with hot chocolates to calm their own nerves over the disappearance of their two friends with Jada following George around like a lost puppy who had just had her sidekick taken away from her.
Tonks had disappeared for the last couple of hours, clearly stuck at the Ministry. But word had definitely gotten out as a gaggle of Aurors had been checking the surroundings of the Burrow for any sign of a child snatching. Kingsley was inside with everyone, as he was Head of the Auror office, trying to come up with an explanation or worse, what he could say to possibly calm Sirius down. It became clear to everyone who knew El personally that she most definitely got her anger from her father.
The Aurors had found the two Death Eater's footprints starting from inside of the field opposite, tracing them up to the house, with footprints that had really sunk into the snow, suggesting that they had been there watching for quite some time. The news terrified Molly, that Arthur had to calm her down. How they found El and Harry was a complete mystery but Remus and Sirius knew between them that they had been taken because of what they both possessed. The boy who lived and a girl who could possibly control dangerous magic. Sirius hoped that they would turn up alive as he stared at El's wand that she had left behind. She was a clever girl, she escaped a Werewolf on the back of a Hypogriff, hopefully she could figure something out that would land them back to safety, Sirius thought to himself as he bit his lip nervously to the point it began to bleed. "Should I go back to Grimmauld Place? Incase she somehow managed to escape?" Sirius asked, trying to hide his furious rage. Remus shook his head, "The last place we were at is here." Arthur intervened, "But they wouldn't want to come back to a place that they were snatched from." The argument went on for what felt like forever but Sirius just hoped Alaric would sweep down from the sky and drop him a letter that said they were both fine at home.
