The kitchen was packed with the remaining meeting members and just enough seats for the kids to sit down. As El had walked through the dark corridor that lead towards a dimly lit room, she caught a glimpse of her dad with his arm around Remus' lower back casually, as they were sat together. But when Sirius glanced her way at their footsteps getting closer, he quickly removed it. El's eyes lingered on Sirius who was looking directly at Harry. "Harry Potter..." Sirius had excitedly but quietly announced, getting up out of his seat to go and hug him. Harry seemed more than enthused as he wrapped his arms around a more toned Sirius (who had put on a lot more muscle since last year.) El couldn't help but feel pushed aside at her dad who had treated her as if she weren't there. They did live together but she hadn't seen him since breakfast!

El popped her hands into her scratchy cardigan pockets (it was a hand-me-down from Remus) and put her head down avoiding eye contact as she walked to get a seat at the long, dark table. Remus had noticed and gently whistled to get her attention which worked wonderfully. As she carefully looked up, Remus had subtly nodded his head at the chair next to him where Sirius had been sitting previously and smiled softly at her paled face. "Hello, you." He had muttered quietly to her, as she happily took a seat next to him. At least someone was happy to see her. Remus was wearing an old cardigan, as always, and a cream coloured shirt that had patches sewn into it. El thought about buying Remus a new shirt for his next birthday, as after all, it was the least she could do in return for everything he had done for her.
"Hey." El quietly greeted him, pushing her chair inwards. Sirius and Harry were still chatting by the door happily, which made El become almost jealous of Harry. No, she thought to herself, that's ridiculous! They had not seen each other in weeks! She knew that she was being selfish but the feeling didn't seem to fade, it just seemed to grow like a seed over time. "I have a little bone to pick with you, missy." Remus had spoke in a very hushed tone turning slightly to look her in her widened curious eyes, "Are you missing an ear by any chance?" El's face lit up like a fire, the warmth of the blood rushing to her cheeks was unstoppable and a feeling of regret had formed in the pit of her stomach. Remus had found the listening device! "I'm sorry. I've just been feeling left out recently. If it's any consolation, I didn't hear much." El had lied trying to remain in Remus' good books as she glanced to her dad who had now taken a seat at the head of the table with Harry sat opposite to El. Remus slowly nodded his head in an understandable way, and put a comforting arm around El's shoulder, squeezing gently. El had noticed that Sirius had subtly looked away from Harry and was watching them with his piercing dark eyes and seemed to be heavily breathing. "I'll give it back to you after dinner, is that alright? Only if you promise not to do it again." Remus had a way with how he spoke to children, which made him one of the best teachers at Hogwarts in Elektra's eyes. Although he was telling her off, he had done it in a way that didn't worsen her gloomy mood that she had suddenly gotten herself into. A mood that she shouldn't be in and felt mad at herself because of it. "I promise. Thanks, Remus." El looked up towards him, knowing full well she would absolutely be doing it again! It had cost her 5 galleons after all!
Out of nowhere Sirius had loudly cleared his throat. "Let's have some food shall we?" He lingered on Remus for a split second with an unreadable face, before promptly smiling down the table at Molly Weasley who had begun cutting some succulent roast chicken.

The room was full of high spirits after an excellent roast, and some of the adults had become more merrier after every sip of red currant rum or nettle wine that they had been drinking. El loved red currant rum, but pretended not to know what it tasted like since she had only just turned fifteen. Sirius and Remus were sharing stories about their time at Hogwarts, which made a lot of the teenagers smile ear to ear. Harry and El had accidentally touched each others shoes from under the table a few times, which made for awkward apologetic eye contact and the Weasley twins were constantly sharing their best jokes, to El's boredom. Once the dishes had cleared, Remus had received a letter through owl post that was addressed from Dumbledore, he read it a few times before feeling comfortable enough to read it to the table aloud:
