Old Creek Human town:
It was two days ago when the Dunks
found a terrified Becca running towards the house. The Dunks had grown worried with every passing minute and were almost out to search for Olivia and her cousin, Becca.Becca cried hard, and was at lost of word due to the shock. It was only after lots of calming, she could explain to the others what had happened at the fields.
Danny was immediately at his feet and had decided to look for Livy, unbeknownst of the reality that lies ahead.
The grandparents stopped him from looking for Olivia, much to Danny's confusion. "It was her granddaughter that had been hunted by a wild dog and they didn't care?"
"It is not that we don't care for her. The truth is the threat is far too dangerous than we can ever comprehend." said Granny.
"What do you mean? Becca said it was a wild dog. Livy must be lying wounded. We must find and help her." replied Danny.
"That was not a dog." Grandparents decided the truth needed to be told. "It was a werewolf that took our dear Livy."
"Were...what?" "A werewolf, you said? Impossible! This is not a tale." Danny was getting agitated with each delay. He wanted to find Olivia.
"It's the truth." Finally, Mr. Dunk intervened. " This is the reason why I never came back or brought any one of you here."
"What should we do then?", asked Danny.
"I am afraid, there's nothing much we can do, except tell the people about it. The werewolves have broken the truce that followed the war. The truce that was somehow holding this town by thin thread. Humans must be alerted. A war is on the way. But I am afraid, this is a war we may not win."
"What about my poor Livy? Are we not going to do anything? She is our only child. Please do something." Mrs. Dunk, who had been crying since the news, begged her husband.
As Mr. Dunk consoled his woeful wife he said, "It's all my fault. I should have never agreed."
After all, Mr. Dunk could hardly promise the safety of all, let alone that of his kidnapped daughter's.The Dunks went to the Council of Elders to inform about the incident and to ask for help. They needed people if they had to try saving Olivia.
The Council of Elders consisted of the last surviving elders of Old Creek who had seen the recent war of Men and Weres. It was their wisdom from the recent war and their knowledge of the ever growing power of Werewolves in Old Creek, brought them to their decision to refuse to lend any help to the Dunks.
"As much as we grieve for our child, Olivia, we cannot risk the lives of the rest of the humans." said one Elder.
"We cannot afford to start a war that we are certain to loose. There aren't many young men around in Old Creek anymore. All that is left is us old and frayed men. It will only bring us to our doom.", said another Elder.
It was exactly what Mr. Dunk had feared. If werewolves could think about breaking the truce that meant they knew that humans are at their weakest now.
His heart cried for his dear Livy, but right now he needed to save the rest. He knew they had to get out of this town as soon as possible. For the sake of the rest, he decided that they would leave this town at the first light tomorrow.
But Danny refused to leave his fiancé. He needed to find Olivia and leave this forsaken town together.
Old Creek Werewolf town:
King Marco of Creek Pack, Alpha of the Alphas received the news of the successful attempt of Alpha Rei Moon on kidnapping the Dunk girl.
King Marco never had any liking towards any human. His kindness to the humankind only extended to being tolerable to their presence in the northern end of his Old Creek, which he very much planned to remove someday.
With Firsts Meet, many Alphas who shared the same hatred towards human had pushed his desire into reality. He too thought that situation was in his favour.
With mostly elder population of human kind remaining in the town, he wasn't expecting any retort from the other end.
The arrival of Dunks was another sign from the Moon goddess, he thought. When he had announced to break the truce by Kidnapping the Dunk girl to the Firsts Meet, he was surprised to see Alpha Rei Moon, who was most tolerable towards humankind, to volunteer.
His thoughts were interrupted by his omega jogging towards him, "Alpha, the girl has escaped."
