The couple spent their remaining of that day planning for the escape.
"Tomorrow, I will find a chance to alert Anna about our plan. You will stay in the field and wait to for her at night. When she comes up to you, take her with you and leave the town. I will stay behind for few more days selling stuffs to avoid any suspicion." Olivia had it all organized and hoped for the best.
She had reached the house early the next day. As she called out for the old woman but received no answer, she took the opportunity to let herself in. She carefully looked around for the woman and her son. No one seemed to be at the house.
Olivia searched room to room for Anna, when she finally heard some sobbing from a certain door. She looked around again before calling out her name, "Anna. Anna. Is that you?"
Anna opened the door to the familiar sound of Livy and embraced her in a tight hug.
"I can't believe, Livy. You are here! How are you here?" Anna was elated to see a familiar face.
"I came here yesterday, Anna. Don't you remember? The saleswoman?" Said Olivia.
"That was you? You sounded so different. And I didn't bother raising my eyes." She had assumed it was another one of them.
"Never mind that. Tell me, are you okay? Are you hurt?" It was the biggest worry Olivia had. Anna burst out crying at that. She told Livy about how she was brought there and was being forced to spent the night with a werewolf. Olivia consoled her, for she understood her situation the best.
"Listen to me very carefully, Anna. We are going to rescue you. Tonight, before the family goes to sleep, give them this sleeping pills. I want you to leave the house when they are deep asleep, and come to fields. You will meet a werewolf there who would take you somewhere safe." explained Olivia.
"A werewolf?" Anna seemed scared. She trusted Livy but was not sure of another werewolf. Why would another werewolf help her?
Olivia sensing her worry, "Don't worry. You can trust him. He is my husband. His name is Rei. He will have a symbol like this too." Livy showed her mark, "I have to go now before the woman comes back. Remember Anna, in the fields at midnight. He will wait for you till sun rises. If it fails, we will wait another night for you."
"No. Don't leave me here. Take me with you." Anna looked terrified at the prospect of being left behind.
"Be strong. We will wait for you." Olivia left the house quickly. It was all upon Anna and Rei now.
As planned, Anna mixed the sleeping pills with milk and gave each to the son and the mother. Upon seeing the chance, she ran fast and hard through the forest. It was an hour away from dawn when she reached the field and found Rei waiting for her.
"You must be Anna. I am Rei."
"Show me the symbol." Anna was careful with him until he showed the mark on his nape.
Olivia reached the Moon Pack few days after them. She immediately went to Anna and had a long talk with her that night, each woman sharing their fateful experience.
Rei waited outside the room to call for Olivia when he heard Anna ask, "Do you love your husband?" Rei's heart skipped a beat. He wanted to know Livy's feelings but he was also scared of another rejection.
After a thoughtful pause, Olivia carefully chose her words, "Rei kidnapped me. That was his first mistake. But after that, he never treated me bad."
"You do know that my brother still loves you? And if you are unhappy with your husband, he will gladly welcome you back." Said Anna, unaware of the referred husband's emotional turmoil.
It was decided that Olivia and Rei would bring Anna to DelBer and asked Danny to reach there first. It could not only safeguard against another kidnapping on the way, but also lessened the suspect of their involvement in the escape. They had to be careful of werewolves who were out searching for Anna.
When the rumors of an escaped human girl died down, Olivia and Rei hid Anna in their car as they travelled to DelBer. DelBer had set up a camps for all the refugees from all over the country who were victims of the war and helped many to get back their missing members.
As they reached the camp, they found Danny waiting for them. But there stood Olivia's family too. Danny had informed them about Livy and her mother insisted to see her daughter again. Anna immediately ran towards her brother, while Livy stayed behind, unsure of whether she was welcomed again.
Rei took hold of Livy's hands which were shaking from nervousness, and led her towards her parents. Livy's mother bursts out in tears and hugged Livy as she repeatedly asked for her daughter's forgiveness.
Danny, ever grateful to Livy and Rei for helping his sister, thanked Rei. Danny realized that even though they were at war, not everyone was his enemy.
"Come back, Livy. Let's forget the past and start all over again. Danny still awaits you and you deserve a good life. We can be happy again." said Mrs. Dunk.
Olivia was overwhelmed by the happiness. She couldn't believe she was in her mother's arm again and that Danny, after everything, was still waiting for her. She could go with them and forget about Rei... Rei. Oh my god, Rei. Livy had completely forgotten about him. She looked around for him but he was nowhere to be found.
"I can't, mom. I am sorry, Danny. I have loved you truly. But now, I am in love with my husband. This is my present now. This is my life. And I don't want to leave again everything that I know." With that, Olivia left to look for her husband.
She called his name again and again. When she reached the end of the camp, she finally saw Rei sitting near the tree. His head bent and supported his hands, he silently shed tears. Livy put her warm hands on his shoulder and she cried, thinking Rei had left her.
"Livy, what are you doing here? I thought you were going back to your family." Said Rei as he looked up to the person sitting next to him.
"You are also my family, Rei." Livy smiled at him and they engulfed each other in a tight embrace.
Rei and Olivia waved back at her family as they left for Moon Pack, excited to start their loving life together.
