It was time for Rei to get back to his pack. He had been away from his duty for quite some time.
"We are leaving for the Moon pack." Rei informed Livy. "My duty awaits at my pack. Rest well, we leave early tomorrow."
Livy couldn't bother with the place or any. There was no one for her at Old Creek anymore. She had no place to go to. She could only follow wherever Rei took her. So, she nodded.
Moon pack
The journey wasn't as exciting as the one Olivia felt while coming to Old Creek. She was actually slightly glad to move away from it.
The journey consisted of Rei's awkward trials at making conversation with Livy and her occasional nods.
"Moon Pack lies on the way to DelBer. I heard you have lived your whole life in DelBer?" Rei tried again.
This time he thought he might had even seen a sudden glow in Livy's dim eyes at the sound of DelBer. But whatever he thought he saw didn't last long. She nodded again and resumed back to looking out her window at the passing trees.
The rest of the journey was spent in silence, which was appreciated by Olivia. Rei finally dropped his attempts.
They reached after the noon. The sun shone brighter in this place, Olivia felt. The place was beautiful, indeed and the house was huge.
Olivia climbed down the car and took a deep breath of the fresh air. She took in the spacious clearing and trees surrounding it. She went to the house but was stopped by Rei at the door.
"Welcome home." Rei said as he opened the doors for her. It was his bride's first visit after all.
Inside the house, Livy was greeted by an old lady called Nana, the housekeeper and also an aunt to Rei, who showed her around the house.
The evening was spent with a quiet dinner where Rei told her about her announcement to the pack the next day.
The day ended with Olivia enjoying a bath in the tub, while thinking deep about the recent events that changed her life.
Her thoughts were broken short by the sound of footsteps in the room. She immediately got up from the tub and tied a towel.
"Is it Rei?" She wondered. "Is she supposed to share a room now?" She braced herself to face Rei, but the footsteps withdrew. Olivia sighed a deep relief. She glanced up at mirror to find an intricate pattern on the neck where earlier the bruise lied. "What is this?" She wondered.
All the members of moon pack had gathered in the house the next day. With the crowd filling the house, the size of the house made sense now.
Rei approached the crowd with Olivia following behind him. He addressed the crowd and announced his marriage to Olivia Moon.
"Olivia Moon?!" Livy glared at Rei. If she had it, her glare could burn a hole on him. And Rei definitely felt her burning stare, as he tried his best to avoid looking at Livy's eyes.
Luckily, for Rei, Olivia was carried away by Nana and the female flocks who bombarded her with their curiosity.
"Mrs. Moon, I must say, you are a very lucky girl. Our Rei was the most eligible bachelor in the pack and there were no fine girl around for such a gentleman." Nana sang praises of Rei along with other women.
Olivia could see that Rei was a beloved Alpha to the pack, but she doubt they would think the same if they learned about the gentlemanliness of their kind Alpha Rei when he kidnapped and imprisoned her. She scoffed at their praises.
Tired from the day's event and the non stopping questions of women, which Olivia desperately tried to escape, she lunged on the bed. All she wished now was to sleep without hearing another thing about Rei.
Olivia kicked off her heels and untangled her hair. It wasn't comfortable enough. She felt hot. She removed her dress and threw it away. It didn't help either. May be she needed a bath, she decided.
Olivia relaxed on the tub. The cold water soothed her. She closed her eyes and slid comfortably in the tub. This is exactly what she needed, she thought.
The water started getting warmer with each passing minute. The heat made Olivia squirm and she got out of the tub. The bathroom was filling up with steam from the tub. Olivia was confused. She stood under the shower but her body only felt hotter. The mark on her neck felt like a stab. The heat was making her suffocated, her head swirled and she fell.
Rei knew he couldn't escape Livy forever. He decided to talk to her, or maybe apologize, whichever worked.
Rei made sure he knocked this time. With no response, he called for Livy and went inside the room. Livy wasn't in the room. May be she was in the bath, he thought. He decided he would wait in the room patiently. But then he saw steam coming from the gaps in the bathroom door. He knocked on the door fervently, but received no response. He slammed down the door. The room was filled with steam and Livy was on lying on the floor.
He carried Livy to the bed. Rei checked her temperature and the mark on her neck. He knew it was the mating heat. The mark showed the bond formed between him and Livy.
Rei knew his responsibility towards Livy now, but he feared her anger too. He only wished Livy would forgive him as he slid into bed with her.
