On the following morning, Izuru and Tate stood by a nearby intersection, just down the road in front of the Sawada residence. Izuru was looking through his phone, with his headphones around his neck, and Tate was slowly swinging his torso back and forth. Both were wearing the same school uniform, the Heiwa uniform, which consisted of a dark grey jacket with the school's emblem, a white dove with its wing open drawn over a simple shield, on the left side of the jacket, black pants and black shoes. Whatever the students chose to wear under their jacket was up to them, aslong as it wasn't anything offensive or that could hurt Heiwa's image. In Tate's case, he wore a plain yellow shirt, visible to all because he didn't bother to close his jacket, and as for Izuru, he wore a white turtle neck shirt under his jacket, which he kept closed. The two were waiting for Yumi, who lived in the area.

"Woooieee, aunt Yu-chan's pancakes are just the best! I feel like the broken heart Tamaki-chan left me with has been completly fixed! I can finally use my leftover youth to go get me some lovin'!" Tate laughed.

"Stop calling my mom by 'aunt Yu-chan' and don't waste your youth on that." Izuru sighed. He was reading a digital version of his speech by the third time, so he didn't bother looking away from the phone's screen.

"Yeah, yeah, no need to be a grumpy old man about it." Tate chuckled. He placed his hands behind his neck and looked around. "So... Y'know how Yumi-chan is gonna go to the same school as we and stuff?"

"Hm? What about it?" Izuru asked, lifting his head over how more serious Tate seemed.

"Y'know... We got lucky no one from that old dump of a middle school came to Heiwa but still. You think she's gonna talk about what happened during our second year at that trash can? I know she doesn't know the full story like we do but still. That fear of people turnin' on you because of knowing what happened still haunts me. Can't let anything happen to my best friend, ain't that right Miyuki?" Tate asked, smacking Izuru's shoulder with a playful punch.

"You don't have to worry about a thing." Izuru showed Tate a small smile and returned the punch. "I know Yumi won't say a thing. Besides, she probably forgot already. It's been like what, two or so years since then? Hell, even I tend to forget about it nowadays."

"Hey man, whatever you say. Just don't want anything bad happening to my best bud."

"In that case... Stop using your youth for girls and join me on playing video games."

"Hard pass."

"Dang it."

"Izuru-kun! Tatetomo-kun!"

The two boys looked to their right after hearing their names being called out, where they saw Yumi approaching them in a small dash. She was now in her Heiwa uniform, which wasn't very different than theirs. Dark grey jacket with the school's emblem on the left side of the chest area, a black skirt and black shoes. Regarding what to wear under the jacket, Yumi went with a white button shirt and a light blue ribbon serving as a tie. She also wore white socks that reached slightly past her knees. When she arrived near the two older boys, she grabbed her school bag with both hands and showed them a smile.

"Good morning, Izuru-kun, Tate-kun! Thank you for waiting!" Yumi giggled.

"Yo, good mornin', Yumi-chan." Tate waved at the young girl with a smile.

"Good morning, Yumi." Izuru just waved with his typical face. "You two go ahead, I have to get something else before heading to school. We'll try to catch up with you if we hurry up, but don't bet your money on that."

"Hm? What do you mean?" Yumi asked, tilting her head.

"Oh yeah, you're back to waking the Pres up duty. Welp, go have fun facing Shibuya's crowd or whatever, just gimme a call wheneve you two arrive."

"Hm? Waking up the Pres?"

"Don't worry about it, Yumi-chan. I'll explain everything on the way to school. See ya, Miyuki!" Tate laughed.

The three teenagers then parted ways, with Tate and Yumi heading down the road across them, which lead to the exist of the residential area closest to Heiwa Academy, while Izuru took the road to their left, which lead him to the closest train station.
