"Huh, huh... N-nobunaga was this one guy that... S-saito Hajime and his Vergil looking ass... Wait did the secret cops exist at the same time? Wait, why is there an equation here... GAH, THIS SUCKS!" Tate groaned, laying his head on his books. After the classes ended, the group made of Izuru, Chika, Tate and Ban headed down to the diner mentioned by Ban, located in Shibuya, where they sat in a table far in the back, where Chika helped Ban with his math problems whilst Izuru faced the seasonal despair of teaching history to Tate.
"There's almost a three century difference between Nobunaga's rulling and the existence of the Shinsengumi, and that equation part is just you making it up! Stop being a stubborn dumb dumb and learn japanese history already!" Izuru demanded, whacking his friend on the head. "Also, we aren't even studying about any of those, we're studying the impact of the Warring States Period on the country!"
"Isn't that too early for the start of the year?! Like come on dude!"
"Complain less, study more!"
"Ain't there an anime I can watch that'll teach me that?!"
"No but there is your best friend Izuru ready to nail this knowledge into your empty brain with brute force if you don't stop complaining and start studying this crap!"
"Waaaah, Miyuki-sensei is a bully!" Tate cried.
"Yikes, talk about a ruthless professor." Ban sweatdropped.
"Miyuki-kun's a... Rather conflicting individual when helping Tate-san studying..." Chika sweatdropped aswell. "Anyway... Do you understand how to solve equations like these now, Ban-san?"
"Hell yeah! Never thought solving these shitters was so easy if you read 'em more carefully!"
"So you play card games aswell?" Izuru and Tate asked.
"Go to hell, you dumbasses."
"Hm? What does reading and card games have to do with each other?" Chika asked.
"Don't worry about it, senpai. You're better off not falling into the shithole that is this community and their bad takes and unable to read memes." Izuru explained.
"Ain't your brother a big part of said community?" Ban asked.
"My point exactly."
"You really are a nice dude, Miyuki." Tate deadpanned. "Oh shit, look at the time! I hafta go meet my dad and go pick my cousin and grandma at the airport! They're finally here for their yearly visit!" He exclaimed, throwing his books into his school bag and rushing off the table.
"Wait! Me and Izuru made a bet and we need you to put an end to it!" Ban declared.
"It's a life or death situation." Izuru added.
"For real? Aight, what do you two need?"
"What is your cousin's name and what do you call your grandma?" The two asked bluntly.
"...no, I feel a joke of the slav variation coming my way and I don't like it."
"Actually, I'm curious too, Tate-san." Chika said.
"...goddammit, why are you so nice, senpai... My cousin's name is Boris and we call our grandma Babushka, there, you happy?"
"I won myself a free bowl of ramen." Izuru said with a smug.
"HEY AT LEAST SHARE SOME WITH- AH GODDAMMIT, I'M GONNA BE LATE! SEE YA TOMORROW!" Tate exclaimed, running out of the diner.
"I gotta get going too, I gotta go pick up my little sis from her dentist appointment." Ban said, packing his things and getting up. "Thanks for all the help, Chika-senpai. And thanks for the constant yelling, dumbass."
"Anytime." Izuru replied.
"Let's study together again, Ban-san. See you later!" Chika smiled.
"Sure thing. See ya two tomorrow." Ban replied, leaving the two.
"Thanks for the help with those two, senpai. Helping one is already a giant load on my shoulders, tutoring two would be the nail on my overworked coffin." Izuru said, relaxing his shoulders.
"The pleasure was mine, Miyuki-kun! But are you really that overworked...?"
"Not in the way you'd think but I'm a Sawada so I'm obligated to be overworked with something, it's a family tradition."
"Sounds like a bad one."
"It was the biggest dumbass in the family who started it. I feel sorry for his children. I'm gonna hit the bathroom, I'll be back in a bit."
"Alright, I'll hold the fort here." Chika said, watching as Izuru left. With him out of view, she took a deep breath and slightly slapped herself twice. "Okay... Calm down, me! Also calm down, Chika-me! You've been waiting for a chance like this in forever, so now you have to grab hold of it! Yes, after all this time mentally preparing yourself for this, now is your time to-!"
"Is everything okay, senpai?" Izuru asked.
"E-e-everything's fine, M-miyuki-kun! Y-you came back fast!" Chika replied in a fast stutter, looking away from him.
"Yeah, a jackass took the middle stall all for himself and I don't plan on breaking the unspoken rule of taking a wiss next to a stranger on a stall." The black haired explained, sitting back on his seat. "So, shall we get back to studying? I could use some help on science."
"A-acutally..." Chika stroked her hair as she tried to gather the courage to look at Izuru.
"...seriously senpai, are you alright?" Izuru asked, placing his hand on her forehead.
"Eek! I-i'm fine, I assure you of that, Miyuki-kun!!" She replied, slapping his hand away. "A-actually, I was wondering... W-we always spend so much time studying together around midterms and finals, s-so why not change things a bit... The start of the year was somewhat stressful, so why not... Why don't we go out on saturday afternoon? You know, with school giving us saturdays off some weeks before midterns and all." Chika asked, finally looking at Izuru with her flustered face.
"Oh, like a date?"
"N-nothing of the sort, M-miyuki-kun! L-like a casual pair of friends going to places and having fun to get rid of some of the stress of exams, typical things normal people do!"
"I was jsus joking, senpai." Izuru laughed. "Well, I'd love to but I already told Yumi I'd help with her studies on saturday afternoon. So why don't we reschedule for the saturday after?" He suggested.
"O-oh... S-sure, I'd love that, Miyuki-kun." Chika nodded slightly.
"Then it's a casual pair of friends going to places and having fun to get rid of some of the stress of midterms, typical things normal people do." Izuru chuckled. "I have to get going. My mom is working late tonight so I have to swing by a supermarket to get dinner. I don't trust enough on my cooking to actually try to do it myself. And by myself I meant Tate, he lacks taste to appreciate my food, but I don't have the energy needed to cook at night. See you tomorrow, senpai." He said, waving as he left the table.
"Mhm, see you tomorrow, Miyuki-kun..." Chika waved back, frowning as Izuru left the diner.
