"The midterms week flew by slower than I imagined. I thought it'd be the same as it was last year, just another simple week of speedrunning past exams and listening to Tate cry about how he did on his exams, but this time, with everything going on with Yumi, senpai, Aimi and Minami, even I began to have problems in my exams. The results tended to be posted on some boards two weeks after the first day of exams, on a monday, but this time, they came some days earlier and were posted on the first post-exam saturday. Sadly, the end of midterms also meant we were back to having classes on saturdays, but that was the least of our concerns. It's hard to believe it's been already two weeks ever since I fought with Aimi and Minami and three weeks of avoiding Yumi and senpai."

"I ain't ready, dude. I just ain't. Once I see those results, my poor heart is gonna give out and Boris is gonna kill my ass!" Tate groaned, laying his head on his desk.

"Nobody told you to slack off instead of studying, you dingus." Ban replied, smacking Tate's back.

"Monday finna be my last day on Earth... Help me make some excuse, Miyuki!"

"Hm? You got yourself into this, Kusotori. Should've studied while you could instead of ramming all the subjects into your brain last second." Izuru chuckled, looking out at the school grounds from the window next to his desk. "Also, what are you doing here? Thought your class was still not this one."

"Yeah, the Rulling Douchebag vetto'd my idea of changing classes faster than my parents vetto'd my idea of me taking my license. The mood's back on my class has just been shitty. Miss butterfly ribbons has been treating everyone like shit ever since midterms, even talking back to Douchebag-sensei. And I don't mean the cocky popular girl shit, she's actually gone full time berserk. She's like a walking ticking bomb."

"More like a walking ticking bombshell. Up top!" Tate laughed, high fiving himself.

"Your grades will be bad and your russian granny will kick your ass." Izuru deadpanned.

"Damn you and your harsh words, Miyuki..."

"Anyway, getting back to topic, things just been tense in there. Not even her friends can hold her back. But why would they when even they become targets. She's just getting angry over nothing and yelling at everyone for nothing and everything. Hell, she even yelled at Keiki before I came here just for him breathing. Can't really get a read on her, y'know? It's like she told the popular girl thing to get bent and went fully delinquent mode. She's only missing a bat to beat people up."

"Ah, I see." Izuru nodded. He was aware some of that was most likely his fault, for having treated her so badly in a blind rage. "Anyway, it's already lunch time. What the hella re we doing here?"

"Keiki and Doujima said they'd call us whenever they finished setting up whatever they're setting up on the roof. Something about isntalling a console up there just for us to play whenever we have free time."

"Setting a console on the roof? How?" Tate asked.

"Dunno." Ban shrugged.

"But isn't the place all dusty and stuff?"

"Dunno."

"And doesn't it rain?"

"Dunno."

"And you also need a good screen for it, right?"

"Dunno."

"And something to give electricity to the console and screen?"

"Dunno."

"What kind of bullshit laws of gravity are they bending to make that possible?"

"Dunno."

"If you only you were that interested in studying." Izuru deadpanned.

The one to bring down the hammer on Tate's fate was some student of his class called Murata Noboru, younger brother of a Murata that went to school with Izuru's older brother, but like that Murata, this too is only relevant to bring misery to people's lives, and this time, the target was Tate.

Murata slammed the classroom's door open and barged into the room, panting as if he had run to escape the jaws of a prey. He looked up at the students in the classroom and yelled.

"They're here! They came earlier this time! The midterm results are out now!"

"Eheh, your death sentence came earlier." Ban snickered, patting Tate on the back.

Tate simply stared at the bearer of the bad news. He got up from his chair and stumbled towards Murata, like a dying man, and fell to his knees. Grabbing onto the other student's shirt, he cried loudly into his chest.

"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

"Huh. He's taking it better than I expected." Ban commented.

"He is, isn't he? Really thought he'd be rolling on the floor and saying that the world is a bastard and that fate is cruel." Izuru nodded.

"WORLD, YOU'RE NOTHING MORE THAN A DAMNED BASTARD! THE DAMNEST BASTARDS OF THEM ALL! AND SCREW YOU TOO, FATE! YOU CRUEL BASTARD! YOU CRUEL ANGEL GIVING ME THIS THESIS OF MY DOOM!"

"Ah no, there we go. Well then, shall we go see our results?"

"Hell yeah. Rio-nee's making me sit through one of her practises for her play if I don't get good grades and that ain't it chief."

"Even though I spent most of last year working with Aimi, I wanted to amend things with Minami first and foremost. Before me and Aimi began our campaign for the student council, me and Minami were friends. Or at least, I think we were. We met on the entrance ceremony last year, back before she was one of the popular girls and I was the guy that helped keeping Heiwa safe and sound. We were friends at our worse, that's how we kept a close bond at our best... But now I treated her like she never meant anything by going berserk on her. She even said it'd be best if we had never met each other, and who am I to say she was wrong... It's true that I don't know alot of things about her, but none of that mattered. I had to make things right."
