"Good afternoon, Mr. Laurens." I nod at the man in front of me.

The older man looks down at me, raising an eyebrow. "Your the kid I hired to tutor John?" He asks.

I smile brightly and nod. "Smartest kid in school, sir. I promise that with me helping him, he won't fail."

He mumbles something before stepping to the side so I could enter. "John! Get your ass downstairs and meet your tutor, now!"

I hear a groan and see the freckled teen run down the stairs. "Dad, I told you I-" He stops and stares at me, raising an eyebrow.

"John, don't be rude. He goes to your school, and happens to be very smart. He's your new tutor." His father says, crossing his arms.

John nods at his dad and then walks up to me, holding his hand out. "I'm John Laurens."

I shake his hand, smiling brightly. "Alexander Hamilton. Shall we get started?"

John nods and the older man clears his throat. "I'm heading out, don't forget to take your sister to her dentist appointment tomorrow."

John nods again and we watch as his dad leaves. Once the door closes, he looks at me. "What the hell are you doing?" He asks.

I shrug. "He reached out to me. Said he talked to the principal about the smartest kid in our grade, and that's when he emailed me and asked me to tutor you."

John chuckles gently as he shakes his head. "Wow, three days into this relationship and we're already back to how it started?" He smirks, wrapping his arms around my neck.

I roll my eyes and push his arms off. "I'm not going to do your homework for you this time, I'm going to help you learn it." I say. "Your father said you were failing now, so I took his offer up." I set my bag down and sit on one of the barstools by the kitchen. "Now, let's get started, shall we?"

He groans and sits next to me. "I don't want to do my homework, though."

"Well, what do you want to do?" I ask.

He smirks suggestively at me and I fake gasp. "Mr. Laurens, it has been three days."

"Oh, come on, it's not like we've never done it before." He leans his head on my shoulder and I huff.

"Well, when will your dad be back?" I ask.

"Oh, you know, not until tomorrow. And my little sister is gone at her friend's house. So you know, we have the house to ourselves, to do whatever we want."

I smirk at him as he leans in closer. "Oh good. Then let's get started with Chemistry."

He smiles and leans in a little more and I pull away and grab my binder out of my backpack. "Ms. Nox gave us a hell of a worksheet in that class." I set the binder on the table and John whines.

"Alexxxxxx, I don't wanna do school stufffff!"

"Alright you big baby, well I was hired to do school stuff. Maybe later we can do some not school stuff, but right now we need to work on getting your grades up."

He sighs dramatically. "Fine, we can do school stuff."

I smile victoriously. "Oh, good. I thought that would be a harder sell."

"Do you have to go?" John whines as he pulls me closer to cuddle.

I chuckle and push myself out of his arms. "Yes, I have to go. I told you last night I had debate practice in the morning." I climb out of bed and search the ground for my clothes. I slip my boxers on and then put my pants on shortly after.

"Stupid debate practice." He mumbles. "It's only.." He rolls over and looks at the alarm clock by his bed. "It's fucking five thirty in the morning, Alex."

"Yes, I'm aware. I have practice before school. You know, that eight hour thing we're obligated to go to five days a week?"

"Just skip with me."

"I can't skip, and you can't either." I roll my eyes and slip my hoodie on. "I'll see you at school, okay?"

I start to walk out but John whines again. "Wait, Aleeexx!" I turn around and he makes grabby hands. "Gimme a goodbye kiss."

I chuckle walk over. "You're such a big baby." I tell him before leaning in and kissing him. He kisses back tiredly and I pull away after a moment or two. "Goodbye, love."

He smiles and returns to laying down, pulling the covers over him. "Goodbye."

I chuckle and leave the room, grabbing my backpack from downstairs. I then leave the house and walk to school.

"Alex! You didn't respond to any of our texts last night, what happened?" Hercules asks, worried as I sit down across from them at the lunch table.

I smile gently. "I was.. At a certain someone's house." I blush gently.

They tease me a bit before Jefferson suddenly shows up and sits next to me. "Would that certain someone happen to be John Laurens?" He asks, raising an eyebrow at me.

I stare at him in shock. "Where the hell did you come from?" I ask.

"That doesn't matter. What matters is I know, what's going on between you and your bully over there." He smirks at me.

I blink a few times, hoping he would disappear if I did. With my luck, of course he didn't. But it was a good attempt anyway.

"What's the matter, Hamilton? Finally don't have anything to say?"

"Mind your own business, Jefferson." I mumble, turning back to my lunch.

"Ah, well you see, I would love to. But something happened this morning after debate practice." He says. "Mr. Washington pulled me aside, and told me I would be the alternate for finals because of my excluding of team members."

I shrug at him. "Maybe you shouldn't exclude team members, then. And you're not the president of our team, so you had not right to do that anyway."

"Whatever, none of that matters. All that matters is that I know your dirty little secret, and it's only a matter of time before it gets out." He smirks at me and walks away from the table.

I look over at the two in front of me.

"Well fuck."
