15. Little Sister's Best Friend

Quinn's POV:

The rain starts to slow down and I try to get up but I hear Anna let out a snore, I guess we're doing this another way. I pull her onto my lap I put her hood on and I take her car keys out of her pocket. I pick her up as I stand up bridal style and I start walking back into the building without slipping, this field always had random holes in it from animals like bunnies and it was fun to chase them even though we never were able to  catch them. 

*Flashback

Jade, Emery, Lukas and I are laying on the grass by a bunny hole waiting, Lukas said he saw a bunny go inside so now we're waiting for it to hop back out again. "Hey guys what are you doing?" We hear Emmi ask and we turn to them "SHHHH!" We said at the same time and we turn back around, "Well we got you guys apples!" We hear Anna say and we turn back around again "SHHHHHHH!" And they look us with confused face but we didn't care we were going to catch this bunny, a few seconds later the rest of gang joins us and Anna lays beside me handing me an apple, "Thank you Boon." I tell her taking a bite and you hear is a loud crunch. "You're welcome." She laughs making me smile, "SHHHHH!" I look at Lukas point at the hole, "What are you guys doing anyway?" Anna whispers in my ear, "Trying to catch a bunny." I whisper into her ear and she nods. We wait a little bit longer and we hear something move in the hole, Lukas and Jade move a little closer and so do Emery and I, a few seconds later we see two ears pop out, then a head, IT'S THE BUNNY, it turns around and stares at us. "GET IT!" Lukas yells and we all get up chasing it around the field. I'm ahead with Lukas "Come on Quinn!" He says, "I'm trying you should've had Anna run she's the fastest!" I say back and we try to run faster but the bunny gets faster. It starts running back to Anna, Emmi, Daisy and Soph we get closer and Lukas and I dive to grab it. "DID YOU GET IT?!" Everyone asks. We open our hands and it was empty, "No." we both says and we get up wiping the dirt off our shirts and pants, "That was cool though." Daisy says and I look at Lukas and we do our handshake, high five, fist bump, finger guns, bird, fist bump, explosion. 

Flashback Ends*

I walk to Anna's car and I open the passenger seat and I sit her down gently trying not to wake her up. I buckle her up and I close the door looking at the school one more time, I get into the drivers seat and I start to warm up the car, I'm freezing right now. Good thing that they still live in the same house otherwise I wouldn't know where to take her. It's quiet there's not even many cars out probably because of the rain. I glance over at her, she's cute when she sleeps, even back in fourth grade she would be cute sleeping, I turn into her neighborhood and into their driveway. I take the keys out of the ignition and I walk over to Anna's side to get her out. I pick her up and I see Tommy's car pull up next to Anna's, "Ayo what's up Best fourth grader." He waves at me and I lift Anna higher for him to see, "Hey Best sixth grader um can you open the front door please so I can put her down." I say to him and he nods. I follow behind him and I follow him up to her room, Tommy opens the door and I walk inside seeing her LED lights, I lay her down on her bed, taking off her shoes and I see Tommy in the door way smiling.

Tommy's POV:

"What's with that face?" I hear Quinn say as she stands beside me, "Nothing nothing just nice to you two together again you know, not together together, but together." I nudge her shoulder, "Yeah not together together, she has a boyfriend remember" she nudges me back, I look at her and I see her smiling at Anna, "Yeah but Shithead ain't the one the one for her, I know he ain't I've seen the sides of him that Anna hasn't he may seem like the perfect guy but in reality he sucks." I tell her and I can see the anger in her eyes, "Just one thing to look out for um once a cheater always a cheater, before he got with Anna he was with Volleyball star Jennifer then later at a soccer game we caught him cheating and majority of the team was pissed, we were so pissed that we banned him from playing two games. He was mad at us for that and he started to treat the team differently, I wasn't okay with that so it started drama which ended horribly, then the next thing I know Anna comes home her hand in his, and I wasn't happy." I look back at Anna I think this might be the first night she won't be calling Quinn's name, I know Ryan hears it so that's the reason why he's trying to get rid of her.

"I told him to watch his back, if he ever hurts Anna, I don't care what he does, he'll get hurt." Quinn says and I know she'll stay true to that. I look at her and I give her a hug, "Thank you for coming back, you have no idea how long Anna's been waiting, I'm glad that you are my little sister's best friend, but enough of the sappy stuff you have to save that for her." I laugh letting her go, and I see her blush, "We're not together." she looks at me trying not to show it, "Not yet anyway, but I know you have feelings okay don't deny it." I tease her and she starts walking away, "Okay okay I'll stop but I do need help with something." I tell her and she stops walking and turns around, "Help with what?" she asks, "With a prank, something that'll stop Ryan from hoping in her window." I point in Anna's room and I see a smirk on her face. "Oh say less let's do it."
