26. A Party With Jealousy

Quinn's POV:

"Okay but for real I will dress nice," Jade laughs taking another shot I walk back to the group after grabbing a bottle for Emery and I, "Yo why is she dressing nice?" I question, "Because of the dance coming up she wants to look nice even tho last year she wore a pair of shorts." Soph points at her, "Hey it was very last minute." Jade snaps back, and we all laugh, "Okay Quinn you have to tell us do you like Anna?" Emmi leans in trying to make herself over the loud music, "Yeah of course I do she's my best friend." I tell them trying to avoid the question they're actually asking, "Bullshit you know what I'm asking." I think the alcohol is getting to her already, "Okay okay yes I like like her okay, I like her more than a friend." I yell and they all turn their heads, they all look at me, back at each other and then back at me. "AHHHHHH!!" they all scream making a few people jump around us, "WE KNEW IT!" Arya jumps and gives me a hug, "HA FINALLY!" Daisy yells and they all raise their drinks, "Come on Quinn put yours in too." Emery nudges me, I lift my bottle to their, "CHEERS!" they yell, letting a loud sound from the glass hitting each other, and we all take a drink. "Hey guys!" I hear Anna's voice, we all turn our heads seeing Anna walk over to us as Ryan gets lost in the crowd, "How are you Anna?" Soph asks "I'm good how about you guys? I can see you guys have started drinking without me." she takes her hand and moves a strand of hair behind her ear, I look closely seeing a silver band on her finger. Oh. "Is that the promise ring?" Quinn points to her hand and she nods lightly, I feel a few eyes on me as I look away from her, "Come on heavyweight let's go get you caught up." Jade takes her hand and takes Anna away from the group. "Quinn." Arya rubs my upper up. "It's fine it's fine, we all saw this coming like it's no big deal." I say downing my beer, "Oh I'm out I'm going to get more." I tell them walking away.

Looks like I don't need to ask how she feels about me, that ring already says enough. I walk through the kitchen hearing people yell 'SHOTS' over and over again, and I catch a glimpse of Jade and Anna taking a few, I open the sliding door into the backyard and I walk outside heading towards the cooler grabbing another bottle, I look up seeing Ryan and his buddies talking, I could beat his ass right now, but I'm not trying to ruin a whole ass party. "QUINN! QUINN!" I feel a pair of arms wrap around me as I stand up, the person lets go and I turn around seeing Jenny down a shot, "You made it." She gives me another hug, "Yeah I did, I told you I'd be here." I wrap my arm around around her taking a sip, I look back into the house watching Anna take another shot. Jesus how many has she had already?"

Jenny and I continue talking about school and stuff like that and I keep looking inside making sure Anna doesn't do anything stupid I guess, no that's just an excuse I keep look at her freaking hand. I hear the song changed and I see Jenny get really excited, "I love this song come on let's dance." She takes my hand and pulls me inside I look up seeing the lights change colors while they flash hitting every spot of the living room. She pulls me into the crowd and I put down my drink on a small table with other drinks and Jenny pulls my body close to hers, I place my hand on her hips and we start moving with the music. The lights are flashing in my face as the music is blasting in my ear I look up for a second taking my eyes off of Jenny and I see Emery, Daisy and Emmi dancing beside them is Jade, Arya and Soph. Wait  Jade is here where's Anna? I continue looking in the crowd.

Anna's POV:

"Ryan can we please dance?" I beg him for the 3rd time as I try to take him away from his friends, I tipsy to say the least I saw the look on Quinn's face when she saw the ring, and I felt my heart drop a little, I probably took 5 shots with Jade before I stopped but those are going to hit me hard later I know it. "Okay okay I'm coming." Ryan gives in and we walk inside seeing the dark living room with the strobe lights hitting peoples faces and bodies. I pull Ryan into the crowd I feel his hands pull me close, I turn around so my back is facing him and I see Quinn dancing with Jennifer. What the? Jennifer's hands are roaming up and down on Quinn's body and her's hands are on her hips, they move together with the music. She looks up from Jennifer's body and makes eye contact with me. Everything feels like it's in slow motion, we don't break eye contact, I feel Ryan's breath on my neck and I see Jennifer's hands go up Quinn's hoodie, but she doesn't seem to care she keeps looking at me. I know she wishes that was me and I wish that this was here, but now I am jealous I admit I am.

Quinn's POV:

His hands shouldn't be anywhere near her body, he doesn't deserve her, I know I can do things he can't, I know she wants me dancing with her instead of him and I know that dancing with Jennifer is making her jealous but right now I am too. Jenny is cool and all but she's not Anna, I want Anna. She continues looking at no matter what move Ryan makes she doesn't break eye contact, I feel Jenny's hand touch my skin under my hoodie and I take her wrists pulling them out. I look Anna and I know she's out of it, she's drunk. "WHO WANTS TO PLAY STRIP POKER?!" Someone yells and I watch Anna leave the crowd, I stop dancing with Jenny and she looks at me a little sad, "Why'd you stop?" she asks, "I'm tired." I lie to her and she takes me hand and we walk to the kitchen "Come on we're taking one shot." She says filling up two shot glasses, "AYO LET FILL US UP TOO!" I look up seeing a few random kids from school, Jenny fills up glasses for them, "BOTTOMS UP!" She shouts and and we take the shots feeling it burn down my throat, okay that's it no more for me I'm done. I walk away and I see Emery and Emmi talking on the couch, I walk over to them and I flop down beside Emmi. "You've been drinking?" I turn my head to Emery and I nod, "How are you feeling?" Emmi asks handing my a bottle of water, "Jealous." I tell them opening the bottle, "Jealous why are you jealous?" Emery asks and I just shrug my shoulder, "Does is have to do with Ryan and Anna?" Emmi pats my shoulder, and I nod. "Did you guys not see that ring?" I ask them and they nod their heads, "Yeah I saw it, it's uh I don't know I don't want to be rude." Emery adds and Emmi agrees with her.

"Quinn! QUINN COME HERE!" I look seeing Anna wave at me, "Well she's calling for you know." Emmi lightly hits me trying to get to go to her, "Quinn!" Anna calls again, "I'd go if I were you." Emery mentions and I groan getting up from the couch and I start walking towards her, I lean my hand on the table and she looks up at me, there's already a few people half naked because they lost a few rounds but Anna still has all of her clothes still on, thank the lord. "Yes Anna?" I question and I she grabs my chin pulling my head beside hers forming my to look at her cards, "What do you think? Will I win this round?" She asks and I look at the cards for a few seconds, "Hmm I think so yes but let people go all in before you say anything." I tell her but she doesn't let go of my face, "Okay last round, whoever loses has to strip entirely." A kid at the head of the table says, "Alright bet!" Someone else says after, "HA Y'ALL ARE GOING TO LOSE!" Anna blurts out, God she's so drunk, she eventually lets go and she looks at me. And it's that feeling again, her face moves a little closer to me "Quinn!" I hear my name, I look up and Emery, Daisy and Emmi look upset and worried, "What?" I mouth to them and they start pointing.
