Sorry for being away for SO long! Thanks to Devils_No_1_daughter for voting on my stories! Thank you as well to people who have read from the beginning (if there are any)! Don't be a silent reader though! Feel free to comment and if I've done something crap then pull me up (being polite would be kind though). Enjoy this little one shot!
It was midnight and the sky was beautiful. The stars crowded together in the sky in little blinking and flashing clusters down at the Earth. Each one reminded Agatha of hope. It seemed their brightness was urging her on and encouraging her to step forward.
She looked at them closely and saw a bright one blinking at her. For a second she let the hope flow into her bloodstream, nerves, veins, guts and very bones. She felt the warmth and encouragement, the sweetness like honey, the slightest tingles of excitement.
But sadly, all good must eventually come to an end.
So after the blissful moment of hope, dread and fear filled her body.
Now some people love experiencing fear, and will disagree that fear is a bad emotion, enjoying it while doing scary activities. But what they are experiencing is thrill, exhilaration and wonder. When you abseil down a cliff face, the emotion that you think is complete fear when you look at the landscape below you is a blend of wonder, thrill, fear and exhilaration. Plain fear itself is the emotion you last remember before plummeting down and waking up in hospital.
The fear and dread felt like noxious fumes, poisonous water and smoke all at the same time. It began to rise up her throat making her eyes fill with tears and nearly choke.
She looked down from the sky onto the dew-soaked grass and exhaled. A breeze crept through her raven hair, making it ruffle itself. She shivered, wrapping her black fur coat around her. She was nearly invisible in this dark she thought. Would he find her?
She almost jumped in surprise as a warm, muscular arm wrapped around her shoulders, and sat next to her on the grass. She looked into his sparkling crystal-blue eyes that were darkened slightly by the dimness. His shining blond hair was now a dull grey. But his handsomeness still shone.
And he's yours, her heart whispered.
Agatha felt a blush coming to her neck and felt like a young and sensitive Evergirl again. She forced it down and desperately her mind began rushing to think of a normal conversation she could have with her prince, that was actually a king, and that in truth was her lawfully wedded husband by one year yesterday.
She was just about to speak when an irritated meow echoed, and Reaper pounced and curled himself into Agatha's lap. Tedros' light expression instantly darkened and he frowned at the cat muttering something that sounded a whole lot like "Ruddy cat."
Agatha smiled to herself as she saw Reaper glaring back. It always made her laugh, their wars. It also made her feel loved, because they weren't fighting over Sophie, or money, or food. They were fighting over her.
"Oh, cut it out you two. I came here to have a peaceful conversation while viewing a picturesque landscape. I didn't come here to see you have one of your glaring contests." Agatha said voicing her tiredness.
Tedros' expression lightened again.
"It is nice isn't it?" He said, pride lacing through his words.
According to The Royal Rot, these pools beside the Camelot castle were the "most romantic place ever." Not that Agatha or Tedros read it. Tedros was also proud of it as lots of Evers famous for Landscape Design were extremely inspired by it and came to admire it. It was extremely renowned by all accounts.
"Yes it's beautiful." Agatha whispered. And it was. A full moon was shining on the glassy and ghostly still surfaces. Lily pads sat here and there, their flowers gazing up into the sky. Agatha spent what she thought was two minutes surveying the scenery. It was actually around ten.
"Are you alright? You seemed quite anxious to get me out here to talk to you and now you're not talking.... at all." Tedros said voicing his worries.
"Oh, I just thought it would be a good opportunity to just be at peace with each other if you know what I mean." Agatha said smiling fakely.
"Agatha. Do you know you smile that exact fake smile whenever you're lying to anyone, especially me?" Tedros said now solemn.
Agatha grimaced.
She had been caught red-handed. She was at a crossroads. It was either truth or lies from here. She opened her mouth about to tell a lie but then caught herself. She was the Queen of Good and this is what she was doing? Tedros valued her company rather than anyone else and this is how they were spending it?
"Oh Tedros." She said and then burst into tears burying her head in his shoulder. Usually Agatha was more of a feminist and cried in a bedroom where no one was there, to sympathise with her and not on her princes shoulder but now was different.
Tedros' face betrayed his surprise before it creased with sympathy. He ran a hand through her silky black hair.
"It's alright, you can tell me anything. What's worrying you?" He whispered softly.
"Tedros I don't deserve you I've been so untruthful, afraid, horrible and introverted and all other horrible words that describe my personality." She sobbed.
"No you haven't. How could you have? You've been your version of nice for the past four months." He said kindly.
"Tedros, I'm sorry, you can take me to some workplace, or divorce me, or put me in prison I probably deserve it and..." Agatha sobbed then exhaled.
"Ostende mihi ventres ipsa magnitudine" She whispered, barely audibly, her stomach swelling in size.
"I'm sorry Tedros. I'm pregnant."
Tedros' eyes grew large.
"Does anyone know?" He whispered.
"I put a memory spell on anyone who helped me with the pregnancy, saw my stomach accidentally or conducted tests or spells. It was awful I know, I'm so sorry." Agatha whispered.
"Do you know if it will be a boy or a girl?" Tedros whispered, and Agatha was relieved and surprised to hear the slightest hint of excitement in his voice.
"Yes it'll be a girl, and I was thinking of calling her Sophie or Clarissa." Agatha said.
"Oh it'll be... a girl." Tedros said dissapointedly.
Agatha gave him a look of fear and remorse.
"What? I was hoping it might be a boy. Oh, don't give me that look. I'm your husband not your teacher, I don't want to give you a scolding on what you did wrong. You had enough reason. Let's look on the bright side. We're going to be parents in?..." He gave her a questioning look.
"Three months." She whispered.
"Three months?! You've been keeping this secret for half a year?! What? Stop with the look, I don't want you thrown in prison and the only one who could scold you properly is Merlin and he's probably enjoying the sun and sipping a martini somewhere on the beaches of Samusara." He smiled.
"Well thanks for telling me." He said earnestly.
Then to Agatha's utmost surprise he pulled her to her feet and kissed her, exactly the way he had on their wedding day.
Hope you enjoyed!
