"Hold up, hold up." Music class, the one class Ray had a love-hate relationship with. Don't get her wrong, she loves singing, but she doesn't like being told how high or low her voice needs to be or what she needs to sing. "Someone was off-key."
"I wonder who." Ray stifled her laughter as the class turned to look at Robbie.
"I'll give you two hints. Robbie and Shapiro." Rex said, Ray laughing a little.
"Ah don't do him like that, Chucky."
"My singing was not off!" Robbie defended.
"Man, your whole life is off."
"Well, I think, maybe Ray was off-key." Robbie said as a last resort, Ray pausing mid breath and blinking rapidly.
"My ears must be deceiving me because I think he just said something totally idiotic." Ray mumbled to herself.
"Um, actually, Ray wasn't off." A kid in a leather jacket said, flashing her a smile. Ray felt her nose twitch, which was a sign that she was gonna make a face.
"Yeah, uh, thank you for that....guy..." Ray said awkwardly, turning away and making the face she tried to repress.

"Well, uh, maybe it was Tori!"
"Well I never." Tori said in a fake southern accent, placing a hand over her heart in mock hurt.
"No, Tori wasn't off-key either. She was perfect." Leather kid tried his smile on Tori and was satisfied when she fell for it, a blush slowly creeping up.
"Ha! Handsome boy thinks I was perfect!" Tori said childishly to Robbie, the bell ringing. Ray quickly grabbed her things to meet Beck in the hall, halfway to the door before the teacher stopped her.
"Not so fast speedster." She groaned and stood with her hand on the door, ready to bolt when the teacher gave the okay. "Let's talk about your homework assignment."
"For the Full Moon Jam?" Rex asked.
"Mhm. You all have to do a song. And your performance will count as one third of your semester grade." The teacher told them.
