Secret dating

When I think of secret dating, I think of two people keeping their relationship on the DL (down low) for various reasons...

1) parents won't approve

2) friends won't approve

Typically, people secretly date because the bestfriend of one of the partners is an ex of their new partner... Now that may sound confusing so allow me to explain.

For a girl, when their bestfriend is in a relationship with a new guy, they become close to that guy to see if the guy is alright personality wise. But sometimes, the girl gets too close with the guy and develops a crush. So if the girls bestfriend and her boyfriend break up, sometimes the girl will try to make a subtle move on the guy. And depending on if the guys feels the same way, he'll ask her on a date or even to be in a relationship with him.

Now, if you remember, dating an ex of a bestfriend is dangerous territory. So, the secretly date. They date, but no one knows but them. This usually ends on a bad argument between the bestfriends....

Now there is also the case where parents don't approve of the guy/girl. Their sweet innocent daughter/son brings home or mentions a name they don't like, they the parents think their kid will be a good boy/girl and listen to their no. But, if you tell someone they can't do something, it makes them want to do it more.
