Budo's father stood by the door, waiting for his son to finally show up from school. Why was he late again? Did he get caught up talking to his friends? No, after yelling at him for coming home late yesterday, there was no way Budo was going to keep his father waiting again.
After another few minutes of waiting, Budo still didn't appear. His father sighed in frustration, pulled out his phone, and called his son.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Budo woke up to the sound of his phone going off. He felt dizzy and had a painful headache. He looked around for his phone, and found himself tied to a chair.
Budo started panicking. He tried to break through the rope binding his hands behind his back, but to no avail. He couldn't break through the rope binding his legs together either. He tried to scream for help, but quickly realized he was gagged.
He looked around his surroundings. He seems to be in some kind of old, abandoned train station. He looked around some more and found his phone on a table next to him. Budo looked over to see who called him, but he couldn't tell from where he was.
All Budo could remember before he woke up was that he was walking home from school. Why did someone kidnap him? Keep him for ransom? Who kidnapped him? Is someone blackmailing his father? After Budo's mom divorced him, he sure does make quite a lot of enemies with his hostile attitude that he can't control.
"Ugh! No time for questions, Budo! You have to get out of here!" He argued with himself.
Suddenly, he heard a door behind him swing open. Budo looked behind him, and 4 men surround him. They all had sunglass on, tattoos on their arms, and most were smoking cigarettes. They also looked very big and intimating. Budo tried to make it look like he wasn't scared as his father always said that showed signs of weakness to his enemies.
"Masuta." A man behind Budo said. Budo tried to look back, but the man was completely hidden behind him. "The leader of the Martial Arts Club at Akademi High School. You look like a cheerful guy. Not sure why someone would have it out for you." The man continued. Budo raised a brow.
"Whff rfe yfu taufing abuh" Budo tried to speak behind the gag.
"Take off his gag. What was that?" The man ordered. One of the other men took off his gag.
"What are you talking about? Are you saying you were put up to this? By who?" Budo was so confused. Why would someone want this to happen to him. Unlike his father, Budo never tried to make enemies.
"What organization do you think we are? You think we just hand out information about our clients to prisoners like candy? Look, all I care about is money, and someone just happened to offer me a bag full of it. Only if I dispose of you first."
"Wait a second..." Budo mumbled. He looked at all the guys, and noticed their tattoos more closely. He recognized the patterns. "You're... YOU'RE THE YAKUZA!" He yelled.
"I think we've told him enough information. When is the train getting here?" The Yakuza asked.
"In about 20 minutes, sir."
"Terrific..." He mumbled. He wished to have this boy rid of much earlier.
Suddenly, Budo's phone started to ring again. One of the men picked it up.
"Oh, it's his father. How cute." The man teased. For once, Budo wished his father to care about what he was doing right now.
"Ugh, just turn it off, and tie the gag back on."
