"Whoa." Chris breathed out, looking at Mike.

Willow's brows furrowed. Could it be Matt? Josh? The fucking monster? She doubted it would knock over barging in, but maybe it was a polite monster. You never know.

"Who the fuck can that be?" Willow asked in unison with Mike.

"Josh?" Ashley voiced one of the options Willow had thought about.

Chris kept his eyes on Mike, "Jess?"

"It's not Jess." Mike snapped.

Willow tightened her arms around her waist.

"Sorry man, but who is it?"

"Why don't you guys go check it out?" Willow breathed out, looking between them. They were the closest... And Mike still had a gun.

Chris gave Mike a look, "I got your back."

"Good."

It was all Mike said before the two of them started making their way to the back door where the knock had come from. Willow couldn't hear exactly what they were saying as they approached and hesitated in opening the door, but she wasn't sure she wanted to know.

Most of her was hoping it was Matt.

The door opened. Willow couldn't see them now, but from the sounds of it ─ it wasn't Matt. Willow's heart sunk as three male figures made their way to the main room.

It definitely wasn't Matt.

"Okay," The man's voice was raspy as he approached them, "Everybody just calm down."

Chris and Mike made their way back to the others.

"Now just move over there," He gestured to the couch, "Go on, move!"

Willow sat on the edge of the couch, Mike coming up to her side. He put his hand on the middle of her back. She tensed, but relaxed into his touch.

"Let me say what I came to say. I'm here to tell you what you're up against being back on this mountain. You should never have returned. I don't know why you did after what happened last year." The man dropped a bag near the fireplace.

The rock in her throat felt too large, it felt like Willow couldn't even speak. What did he know?

"You mean with Hannah and Beth?" Ashley asked.

Chris backed her up, "Yeah, how could you know without being involved─"

"Or responsible?" Sam cut Chris off.

Mike's thumb rubbed against the fabric of Willow's windbreaker as he felt her breathing pick up. Willow bit her lip, her eyes not leaving the man. He was holding a flame thrower. Why? What did he know that they didn't?
