It had been a very rough day, especially for me, so Danny thought it'd be better for me to head home and relax. My sister was out on the beach with her friends minus the troublesome one, so I'd finally have some alone time with my girlfriend. We didn't seem to notice but, apart from work, a moment to ourselves was very rare, let alone the two of us together.

Being so, I thought the situation awarded a beer or two in some place very romantic. Cath wasn't originally from the island, but as my sister did, she adopted Hawaii as her home. I couldn't really tell if she missed her parents, because rarely she spoke of them. However she seemed happy and I knew I was too as long as I was with her.

During our short date, we tried our best not to talk about work. There were so many other things more enjoyable to discuss. Despite my best effort, I could feel her seeing right through me, into my brain and heart, where only one subject was constantly present. The newest threat my team and I had to face.

"I'm just saying, it's good that you got out of it in one piece babe" Cath chuckled while we walked into my house, referring to the earlier freefall episode. Seriously no one was going to let it go?

"I'm just glad Jill took it well. I'm so worried about her lately" I blurted out as soon as I got the chance. I knew her and my sister were close and sometimes shared information that wasn't passed to me. Even so, I couldn't say that was the only thing I was worried about.

"It's not just her, is it?" my girlfriend was quick to say what was on my mind. She was experienced in reading people, so there was no use trying to hide anything from her.

"Wo Fat ghosted again. I was so close!" I growled in frustration while flipping my head angrily. I couldn't accept this man had outsmarted me again.

"Shh Steve, calm down. I'm gonna move some of my contacts" she spoke to me sweetly while placing her finger on my lips to keep them from moving. I thanked my girl with my look, knowing this matter was in good hands with her.

"Be careful. The man is really dangerous" I couldn't help but to warn her, even when I knew there was no need with a girl like her.

"I think I can take care of myself. So... I think we still have a few minutes to ourselves" she commented casually while taking a look around the house, as if to confirm we were in fact alone. And we both knew what that meant.

Our lips searched each other until they met in a passionate kiss, our pulse picking up all of the sudden. I guess it was because we knew he had little time, but I cannot deny that made it all more exciting. I picked my girl up by her waist with my strong arms, carrying her to the living room where we'd be more comfortable. There on the couch, we peeled our clothes off until we were finally completely out there to one another, and I wouldn't want it any other way.

My sister arrived just in time from hanging out with her friends, as usual. I kept telling her that she should not wait until the last minute to do everything but in this case I could sympathize. There wasn't such a thing as too many waves when you are surfing in Hawaii, but unfortunately the day had 24 hours and she needed to be back home at a decent time. And I couldn't say I wasn't happy that my sister's lack of timing had awarded me and Cath a couple minutes extra.

I put our dinner in the oven while Jill got changed in her room. We were accompanied that night with Cath of course and Daniel, who joined us later that day and simply wasn't shutting up about how dangerous it was that I jumped out of a helicopter, but the man didn't know what I was capable of, especially for a fellow soldier.

"I'm just saying, it was stupid" Danny said one more time without even looking at me while my girlfriend snorted a laughter at his wit.

"Knock it off Daniel" I said, tired of his drama while taking a sip of my beer.
