Chapter 5 Hordak's Sanctorum

Finn helped Cupid to get up.
"Who are you?" They asked to Hordette.
She introduced herself to them as the daughter of Princess Entrapta and Lord Hordak.
"You can call me Hordette. And this is my big sister, Emily" Hordette tapped un Emily's head.
Cupid gasped. His parents told him about one of the princesses, a brilliant scientist, that made friend with the Horde's ex leader.
Glimmer and Bow never told him about a daughter, because they had no idea that she existed.
"I'm Finn, and this is my best friend, Prince Cupid. Thank you for saving us" Finn said.
Hordette answered with a grunt, like she didn't care who they were.
She suddenly remembered the signal detector.
She was afraid that the fall had broke it. Gladly, it still worked.
The girl and Emily started to walk away, to the sanctorum, but then Hordette looked behind her: Cupid and Finn seemed pretty sad.
They wanted to save the day and ended up beeing saved instead.
"We should go back to our parents before they freak out" said Finn.
"We can't go back from the vents, that's for sure" remarked Cupid looking at the broken tube from where they fell.
They didn't know how to return to the Prom. They were lost.
Hordette felt bad for them, so she suggested them to go back together.
Cupid wasn't sure if Hordette could be trusted. She saved them, that's true, but he was wary of her.
Otherwise, Finn was naively willing to go with her.
Cupid knew that the alternative of going with her was wandering in the dark, so he accepted her suggestion.
"If only we could see better. . ." Cupid was saing.
Hordette took from her belt a pink, led stick and gave it to him.
"Great. Even a led stick is more useful than me!" Grumped the boy.
While they were leaving that place, little Rose Bud came sliding along the broken tube, laughing like she was at the playground.
She landed softly on a plant that she made grew with her powers.
Rose Bud was looking for the big purple girl and when she noticed the pink ligh of the led stick, she followed it.

In the mean time, in the ballroom, Adora was worried because she didn't saw Finn since they arrived at the castle.
Adora asked to Catra, Glimmer and Bow if they saw them.
"I haven't seen Cupid either for a while now" said Bow.
"They're probably exploring the place. Playing spies like when they were kids" said Catra.
Cupid laughed, remembering the good times spent on Mara's ship, during their journey across the galaxy.
"Do you remember, Catra? They looked everywhere, turning everything upside down!" Glimmer said.
Adora had a bad feeling about what they were doing.

Hordette was walking confidently in the corridors of what was left of the Fright Zone.
Finn buzzed around her, asking to her how she got that cool cannon arm.
"This old thing?" Hordette pulled out her cannon to show it to them "it's fascinating, right?"
"Why did you decided to put a cannon in your arm?" Cupid asked to her. He was terrified by the idea.
"It's very useful" Said Hordette returning her arm to normal to look at the detector.
"I want it too!" Exclaimed Finn.
Cupid wasn't just scared by the cannon: the place where they were walking was worst that he ever immagined. There were some weird sounds, like everything was about to collapse on their heads and it was incredibly cold.
"When we get home, I'm going to take a long, hot bath" Cupid was freezing. When he sneezed, Finn went close to warm him.
"I don't know what you're complaining about. It's not so cold down here" said Hordette.
"Of course you didn't noticed! You probably don't feel the are cold!".
"I can assure you that I feel the same things you do! I even caught some colds when I was little" Whenever Hordette was feeling sick, her parents stopped working to give her all their attention. It was a nice, until her mom cooked her soup.
After going through the cadet dorms and some other rooms, they finally arrived at the sanctorum.
"Yes! We just have to go through the door and-!"
"What door?" Asked Cupid.
In front of them, there was no door, only the ruins of a battlerield.
"What happened here?" Asked Finn: their tail was shaking of fear for some reason.
They all entered in the sanctorum.
The place was almost destroyed, but at least some of the computers were fine.
Hordette had to connect Emily's batthery to power the generator.
"Excuse me, what are you doing?" Asked Cupid to Hordette, who was fumbling with some cables while Finn was waching her, amazed.
The girl didn't gave him any answer. She was too busy trying to make those computers work again.
The screens finally lit up.
When Hordette tried to acces the files of her father, she was blocked.
"It says that I need the code to access the files".
"What files? I thought you were looking for a way back! What are you really doing!?" Cupid was getting angry.
"I'm searching the infomations to finish the Project A!" Hordette finally told them the real reason why they were there.
