"Hordette!" Screamed Cupid when he saw the clones inserting her braids in the computer.
Hordette screamed in pain as the energy of the computer was passing through her hair, into her body, like a lighting.
Emily tried to help her and so they connected her to the computer too.
"What are you doing to her!?" Finn stood up and ran to Hordette, but some clones stopped them.
"No need to fear: she's like us. It doesn't hurt her" said the clone who made the speech.
"How can you say that if she's screaming!? She's not like you! She's not a clone or a machine. You are just making her suffer!" Said Cupid.
Hordette screamed louder and louder.
"This computer is the medium of the mind of the planet. Soon she'll connect to it and then they'll be one thing, forever".
"NOOOO!" Cupid cried.
Finn was furious. They were biting and scratching those clones who were blocking them.
Hordette started to connect with the mind of Etheria.
Her physical form was shaking for the pain while her mind was slowly leaving her body.
She could see il all. All the things that happened to the planet: it's creation, the original living forms that inhabitated it, hundreds of years were passing in front of her eyes in a few seconds.
And then she saw the war between the Horde and the Rebellion. She saw everything that the Horde did to the planet.
Hordette stopped screaming.
She was falling asleep.
"No! Hordette! Hordette, don't give up!" Called her, Finn.
Cupid felt a pain in his back: something was beating faster than his heart, and it was trying to came out.
He let it out, like a tear, a breath, out of his skin and in a second the pain was gone.
Cupid spread his beautiful wings to the world for the first time.
No one was expecting something like that to happen.
Finn was amazed by it too, but there was no time to waste.
Finn freed themself and rushed toward Hordette, while Cupid took care of the clones.
He flew above them and shoot his arrows, giving to Finn the chance to save Hordette.
Her eyes were loosing their color and light.
Finn tried to pull her braids out the computer.
It was impossible, they didn't come out.
Hordette kept looking in the past, with no idea of what was happening to her body.
She saw what happened to Etheria when the portal that was built by her parents was activated, and so she discovered that the missing piece was the sword of She-ra.
"I've found it. . ." She wispered, closing her eyes.
She was letting herself go in that sea of informations.
Hordette was becomimg one with the mind of Etheria.
A familiar sound made her desist from falling asleep forever.
"Emily?" She openned her eyes and looked for her sister.
Emily was there with her, floating in the knowledge of the mind, and she was calling her.
"Emily! Hold on, I'm coming!" Hordette swam to reach her.
Once she did it, Hordette called for her friends to help them.
"Finn! Cupid! Hurry up before we disappear!".
Finn couldn't hear her but they were still trying to save her.
They had no other choise than use the crystal on Hordette's belt to cut her hair.
Every braid Finn cut, Hordette regained control of her body, until she finally woke up and released the last braid by herself.
Finn helped her move from the throne and gently made her lie down.
Cupid had defeated all the clones, who were lying on the ground, unconscious.
He landed smonthly next to Emily and his wings desappeared.
The boy disconnected Emily from the computer and she instantly got up: she was feeling great, but Hordette wasn't.
Cupid and Emily went to her.
He helped Finn supporting her head, as Hordette was slowly breathing.
'Is-is she...?" Stuttered Cupid, while crying.
"She's ok! I've got her in time!" answered Finn, shedding one tear for the fear and one for relief.
Hordette openned her eyes, that were recovering their color.
"Finn? Cupid?" After screaming that much, Hordette spoke to them in a faint voice.
"We're here, Hordette" Said Cupid.
Emily made a sound of joy, because Hordette was still alive.
"I'm so sorry. I've failed you".
"What are you talking about? You didn't failed us, dummy!" said Finn.
"Yes, I did. . . I've almost break the promise I made you!".
Hordette discovered what the mystirious project A was when she connected with the mind of Etheria.
"It's a portal! My parents have created another portal! And the sword of your mother, Finn, it's the missing piece!".
Hordette kept asking to them to forgive her; she had no idea that the project A was a portal.
Cupid and Finn were both scared. Their parents told them what the first portal almost did to the world and the reality itself, and what it costed to close it.
Something like that couldn't happen again.
