Chapter 17 Friends

Hordette was still talking with her parents about the portal.
They have finally told her why they builted a better one, more powerful and with more likely to succeed.
"I'm sorry we never told you this" Entrata was saying to her.
Hordette took the hands of her mom and looked at her with even more love that she had for her parents before learning the truth, if it was possible.
Then, without telling her a thing, she hugged Entrapta.
Now that Hordette knew the truth, she was feeling so much better with herself.
"We need to tell this to the other princesses! Adora will give us the sword if we tell her-!"
"I'm afraid it will not be that easy, Hordette" said Hordak "They don't trust me. That's why we tried to make the portal work even without the sword".
"But we failed" said Entrapta.
They heard someone knock on the door: it were Cupid, Finn, Adora and Catra.
Hordak stood up and walked toward Catra, with anger.
"What do you want from us?!" .
Entrapta placed her hair on his shoulder and calmed him down.
"We're not here to start another war" Adora said to him and her wife too.
Cupid and Finn went to Hordette.
Entrapta made herself apart to let them talk, and she took Hordak with her.
"What are you two doing here?" Asked Hordette.
Finn jumped on her bed and said: "We came to see how are you!".
"We were so worried" said Cupid, sitting next to Finn.
"After all you've been through, you still care about me?" Hordette asked with doubt.
"We're are friends! Of course we do!" Finn said.
Hordette looked at them, they were truly smiling at her.
She used to belive that no one other than her family would love her.
She convinced herself that it wasn't worthy try be friends with other people. That it wasn't even a good choice to go outside her home.
Instead, it was worth it. She met wanderful people, she made new experiences, she saw the beauty of the world and it wasn't so bad as she thought.
"Thank you" Hordette said to her friends.
Cupid and Finn hugged her.
"This is called a group-hug" said Finn.
"I like it" wispered Hordette.
Entrapta, Hordak, Adora and Catra watched all the scene from afar.
Then Entrapta made a long, shrill sound.
"So cute! They are friends, just like us!" She hugged Catra and Adora.
Hordette took the occasion to talk to her friends.
While she was hugging them, she wispered that the portal was safe and it must be activated.
When the two teens separated from her, she wispered: "Trust me".
They went out of the room, to talk about what they should do. Emily followed them.
"Now what?" Finn asked to Cupid.
"I don't know. Hordette wouldn't lie to us to help her parents with the portal. Would she?" Cupid said.
Emily brushed Finn's pocket, to make them take what was inside of it.
Finn found the crystal that they used to cut Hordette's hair.
Adora had taught them to read the First Ones language, so they could read the word 'LUVD' on it.
"Hordette wouldn't lie to us, not after what we did!" Finn said to Cupid, who agreed with them. This time he was ready to help Hordette at any cost.
"So now we have to steal the sword of your mom?" He asked.
"It's not steal, it's borrowing without telling anyone! Remember?" Finn blinked to him.

In the room, Hordette was talking to Catra and Adora.
She explained to them and her parents what her and the others went through, without mention the project A.
From how they met in the vents of the Fright Zone, to what she remembered from the temple.
"So you saved them and then they saved you" Adora said.
Hordette nodded.
Entrapta told her that she was proud of her.
"Thank you" Catra said to the girl, with a soft voice.
Hordette looked at Catra with angriness.
Then she made a grunt to tell her: "you're welcome".
Suddenly they all heard an explosion and screams coming from the corridors.
"Stay here!" Adora told to Hordette and Entrapta.
She transformed into She-ra and went with Catra and Hordak to see what was going on.
In the throne room, Emily was blasting at the walls, while Cupid was screaming for help from the top of his mother's throne.
"What's happening!?" Catra asked to Glimmer and Bow.
"I don't know! We've heard Cupid scream and we came here!" Glimmer said.
"Help me! She's out of controll!" The boy screamed again.
The adults worked together and proceded to save him and stop Emily.
Catra and Melog acted as a diversion and made the robot choose them has a target. They were fast enough to avoid every blast.
Bow shot at her legs some arrows with a viscous stuff to block her, then Hordak lifted her.
"Emily, stop this nonsense right now! Or you'll be grounded!" Hordak said.
Glimmer teleported herself to the throne.
She openned her arms to get Cupid.
"Come on, sweatheart! Don't worry, I can get you!" But Cupid did not jumped into his mother arms. Instead, he spread his wings and flew.
