Chapter 13 The maternal instinct of Entrapta

Sirenella stopped the ship just before the reef.
"I can't get any closer. You'll have to use the raft" she said to the others.
"Can you watch over her?" Hordette asked, giving Rose Bud to Sirenella.
"Sure! Babies adore me!".
Hordette asked to Cupid and Finn if they wanted to stay on the ship.
"And give up the best part of this adventure? Absolutely not!" Answered Finn.
"We can't let you do this alone!" Said Cupid.
So while Sirenella and Rose Bud remained aboard the ship, Finn, Cupid, Hordette and Emily reached the foggy beaches of the island on a raft.
"How fascinating! The signal on this island is a hundred times stronger than in my father's Sanctum!" Said Hordette looking at her detector that was going crazy.
If they followed the signal through the dense jungle, they would find the source of it.
The four of them walked towards the unnatural vegetation.
Cupid said that the island was worse than the Fright Zone.
"Don't worry, Cupid. We'll be out of here in no time" Hordette wanted to reassure him.

At Bright Moon, the princesses were about to leave with Mara' ship to get to Beast Island.
When Entrapta got on the ship, she hugged every part that she could reach.
"Darla, I've missed you so much!" She said to the ship.
Before they left, Glimmer asked to her father, who came back from Mystacor, to take care of the kingdom while they went to rescue the children.
"Cupid will be safe. He is strong, just like you" said Micah. He was worried for his grandson too, but he wanted to help Glimmer in that difficult moment.
Then Micah saw Hordak get on the ship with the rest of the Princesses.
He couldn't belive that they had to rely on Hordak, the one who sent him on the same island, to find Cupid and the others.
When Glimmer got on the ship, they left Bright Moon.
Bow was at the controls.
"We'll get to Beast Island in less then an hour" he said to the others.
Adora was looking at the holographic map, with a worried expression.
Catra tried to make her feel better.
"This brings me so many memories!" she said, remebering the day Adora saved her.
Adora smiled.
"Seems like yesterday I wanted to bring you back home with me, and now we're doing this again. . ." Adora sighed.
Catra hold her head.
"Hey, it's ok. We'll find them!".
Catra hugged Adora and promised her that everything was going to be alright.
"Adora! Catra!" Entrapta suddenly appearing behind them.
"Once we rescued our children, would you like to have one of those baby parties together? Since you have missed mine and I've missed your, because you went expoling the galaxy without me".
Adora stammered a yes, while Catra was frowning for the interruption.
Glimmer joined the conversation and asked to Entrapta about her and Hordak.
"So. . . How did it happened?" She sgrugged.
Entrapta told them that they have fallen in love during the months they passed cleaning up Beast Island. But she didn't call it a marriage. They were still lab partners, even if they did the same activities of an average married couple.
"You could have at least told us that you had a daughter" Catra said.
"Well, you didn't told me you had a child either" Entrapta replied.
"Hard to call that a daugther!" Mermista snorted from the other part of the control room.
Everyone heard her and feared for Hordak's reaction.
"Care to explain what did you just said?" Hordak irritably asked to Mermista, getting closer to her, only to be hold back by Frosta and Scorpia.
"Don't think you can scare me, Hordak!" Mermista was hold back by Sea Hawk and Perfuma.
"Sirenella ran away with the thing you call a daughter, to make it seem more normal.
If anything happens to my girl, I swear, I'll make you and your child-thing pay for it!" Mermista was face to face with Hordak.
Everyone belived they were about to start a fight.
"You're wrong, Mermista" Entrapta said.
"Hordette IS our daughter. I might not gave birth to her, but she is mine! And so I will not let you do anything to her!". Entrapta raised her voice for the first time in forever.
The other princesses were speechless.
Catra was the only one who genuine smiled to Entrapta's answer; she was proud of the way she defended her daughter.
Mermista suddenly felt ashamed.
"E-Entrapta,  I didn't mean to-!" Mermista didn't know how to properly apologize with her.
There was no time to do it anyway, because they have just arrived to Beast Island.
