Narrator's POV

The next morning, Annette woke up to a ship aimlessly drifting near the longboat she had fallen asleep in. The side of her face had been sunburned from the morning sun, and her stomach was rumbling from her lack of nourishment from the past few days.

As she got closer to the ship, her heart nearly jumped out of her chest as she recognized the gorgeous red and gold exterior. Queen Anne's Revenge was just in her grasp.

She gripped the oars as she rowed up to the ship, tying the longboat to the side and she climbed on the ladder rigging to come aboard.

After a quick search, she found that the ship had been long abandoned. If a ship is found abandoned on the sea, it is legally yours. According to admiralty laws: finders keepers.

Annette kicked some birds nests off the top of the mast and the railings, and Triton had fulfilled his promise of putting her treasure onto her new ship. The cargo hold was completely full of leftover cargo from when Barbossa captained the ship years earlier, and the treasure. Including jewels that could control the wind and tides.

She believed that Barbossa would have been happy to know that it was her who ended up finding Queen Anne's Revenge. Perhaps he was the reason she found it. She planned to keep the ship in the same condition that Barbossa left it in, making him a part of the ship forever.

She admired the treasure, but two vials of an unknown clear liquid caught her eye. The words from the cryptogram of "one drunken vile per person" had gone through her head, and it began to make sense. She pocketed the vials into her coat for later and walked over to the room that Blackbeard had given her. The hinges squeaked as she opened the door, and she saw that nothing had changed. She realized that Barbossa had willingly kept the room for her, in case she ever decided to join him. Her beloved hat was still sitting on her cot, right where she left it back when she first encountered Jack on the ship. She grabbed it and placed it on her head. She felt complete again.

Annette came back up to the main deck and peered down at the broadsword. She pulled it out and placed the sharp tip on the floor by her feet. She drummed her fingers on the black handle lightly, and she noticed the rigging start to quiver. The ropes began to unwind and the sails unfurled. She smirked, gripping the wheel with her free hand and she pointed the tip of the sword toward the bow. The sails opened and the rigging set itself.

She nearly fell back as the ship took off full speed, laughing triumphantly as the ship sped through the water under the tremendous power of the sword
