Hector's POV
Had my heart just been ripped out of my chest? It felt like it.
I tried to speak. No words. I had no suliva in my mouth.
"What?" I managed to croak out.
"Who are you?" Gabriella repeated herself.
"It's me", I said, tears in my eyes, "Hector".
"I don't know who you are", Gabriella looked confused.
The doctor walked in at that moment.
"Can I have a quick word?" The doctor asked me.
"Yeah", I whispered and walked out.
The doctor shut the door behind us.
"I forgot. I should've warned you", the doctor started, "There's no need to worry. We've given Gabriella medication to calm her down and it makes her forget things for a while. It should wear off in exactly fifty six minutes".
Oh, thank God! I leaned against the wall and let out a massive sigh filled with relief.
"Sorry, I should've said", the doctor apologised awkwardly, "You might want to give it an hour though. To avoid more confusion".
I nodded and went back the the chairs where I had spent all day waiting worriedly.
One hour later...
I checked my phone to see what time it was. I could go in now but, for some reason, I was nervous. I decided to give it another five minutes so that I could prepare myself and read my texts.
Simon-
Hector, where the hell are you?! You have a PE class to teach. You and Gabriella are both missing. If this is to do with what I think it is, you're in serious trouble.I sighed and shook my head then moved to the next text.
Unknown number-
Be careful.I looked at the text, confused as to who it was. After a while, I realised it was probably Barry trying to be dramatic. Pathetic... I turned my phone off and walked to the door to Gabriella's room.
I took a minute before I went in. I breathed heavily and opened the door.
Gabriella was awake.
"Hector!" She said my name, enthusiastically.
I smiled at the fact she remembered me now.
I didn't hesitate to go and hug her. She had been taken off the machine and was sitting upright in bed, like the old Gabriella. I kissed her forehead and didn't stop hugging her for ages. After a while, I pulled away.
"How are you feeling?" I asked, concerned.
"Fine", Gabriella said, "Just annoyed at Barry".
"Me too..." I glared into the distance.

Gabriella's POV
I stayed sitting in bed and not once did Hector let go of my hand. The doctor eventually came in and told me I was free to go. We both left the hospital and Hector drove us to my house.
"Do you want me to explain to your parents what happened?" Hector asked.
"No, thanks. They'll get suspicious", I replied.
When we were in front of my house, Hector looked at the windows to see if my parents were looking. They weren't in sight. Hector smiled and planted a deep kiss on my lips, whilst firmly holding the back of my head.
"I love you", he whispered into my ear.
"I love you, too", I whispered back.
He gave me one last smile and drove away.
I took a deep breath before walking into my house. I was expecting my Mum to shout at me for not being at school due to the accident but I was greeted with a massive hug.
"The hospital phoned us", Mum informed me, "I'm gonna kill whoever did this to you. Who stayed with you at the hospital?"
"Oh, just a pretty great person", I smiled to myself.
