I was standing behind Jason. He could feel their power, it was not natural power. Many people in my family have natural powers. I'm immune to other peoples powers and can make myself unnoticed until I want people to notice me. I haven't used my power in a long time so it's fairly undetectable but I'm still surprised Jason didn't notice when we met.

I make myself known to Jason and tap him on the shoulder. He spins around slightly startled and almost hits me with his sword.

"Hey watch it with that sword. One cut that deep enough and you could kill me!" I hissed. His eyes widened in surprise. "Your probably wondering what I'm doing here." I whispered. He nodded. "Well you can feel their power can't you?" He nodded again and put his hand on the hilt of his sword. "I'm not going to hurt you! I can't!" I hissed backing up into the shadow.

"Sorry." He mumbled and took a step farther into the shadows. "I can explain part of it to you but you need to follow me." I said.

"Why should I trust you?" He whispered.

"Because I'm the only one who can help you."
