After class it was only 3pm.
Asher and Jack will be out at 4pm."Should we look around?" Tyrone asks.
"Two teenage boys walking around window shopping?" Kei looks at Tyrone.
"Well, I guess we can."
He remembers the awkwardness before when their friends do that, the salesperson would look at them as if they will steal something in the store.
He has a rejection feeling toward salespersons because of that.
But now, they are both wearing nice uniforms and they have money to buy.
Salesperson will surely not look at them awkwardly so he feels relaxed.Human ah.
Says they are not judgmental.
Though he understands that they are just doing their job, if you are the one being subjected to the look, you will feel down, insecure and you will not wish to step in that place again.
It was a very stifling feeling to be judged as a thief just because you don't have pretty nice clothes. One more of Kei's insecurity resurfaced as he remembered the past.
They were looking for a cheap gift for their teacher back then and really like that non stick pan and hold it lots of times.
Still they can't afford it so they just buy an indoor fluffy slipper.
One of their classmates told them that the salesperson has been looking at them from when they enter till they are leaving. When they realized they all never went to that place again.
They all feel very ashamed and angry."Kei?"
"Ah?" Kei looks at Tyrone.
Tyrone frowns.
"Did that person irritate you?" He asks.Kei frowns and looks at the woman assisting a customer.
"No. Just remember bad things.""How bad?"
Tyrone asks.Kei shakes his head.
"Nothing. What did you buy?""There is nothing to buy."
Tyrone frowns.
"And you look depressed. Do you not like a home appliance center?"
They just went inside just to look around and busy themselves."Let's just go to a cloth store." Kei said.
"Okay. You'll buy me something?" Tyrone teased.
"Heh. Your guts are high."
Kei snorts.Tyrone grins.
"Let's buy some wristwatch?""I already have one."
"That's so old fashion!" Tyrone complains.
Kei snorts.
"Of course, this is my grandma's wristwatch, of course it was an old design.""Eh? Sorry. So it has sentimental value?"
Tyrone frowns."Sentimental value? It's just a wristwatch. So old fashion?"
Kei snickers."Then let's buy!" Tyrone glares at him.
"Expensive!" Kei said, disdaining him.
"Then I will buy it for you."
Tyrone seriously said."I choose friends wisely! Come," Kei walks ahead.
Tyrone laughs.
"Stingy b*stard!""Who cares? You have money."
Kei hately glares at him.
"Curse you and your 8th more generation.""I'll appease your anger with a nice wristwatch." Tyrone grins.
"Then let's reduce the curse to just this generation." Kei smirks.
***
"Hi." Tyrone smiles at the two kids.
He knows them but has never talked to them before."Hello." The two don't greet eagerly but they are not rude too. They know Tyrone and already aware that he is not to be trifled.
Kei snorts.
"Such a calculative greeting? Despicable."
Kei ignored them and walked to buy the tickets.Asher stared at Tyrone.
"Why are you here? Kei didn't mention you yesterday so you just tag along?" There is disgust in his tone that he thought he concealed nicely.
Tyrone flinched.
"I am his friend so where he was, I will be there.""Don't flatter yourself! He is ours before you meet him so he will stay more with us." Jack said.
"That..." Tyrone doesn't want to argue with kids.
"Hey, I got tickets for the earliest slot. See?" Kei looks excited and shows. 4:30pm. They will have to wait 20 more minutes.
"Kei, you like watching a movie for kids?" Asher asks.
"Eh? It's not the kids who wanted to watch but you?" Tyrone looks wryly at Kei.
Kei frowns.
"I don't like the movie. I am going to watch the main lead mother. She is my grandma's idol and also mine.""A mother? Usually, it was the teenager main character you will like but actually the mother? That is your taste?"
Jack frowns.
It's too mature.Kei hits his head.
"I told you it was my grandma who likes her. Since I watched her all the time through my grandma I also became a fan."Asher frowns
"She is your step sister's mother?"Kei paused then sighed.
"My grandma often told me before that we owe alot to her. So everytime she does something, grandma will spend her money buying her merchandise, watching her guestings and movies. I thought maybe her charity works helped our family and had great respect. Later, I found out what we 'owe' her."
Kei patiently explained and looked at the poster of the movie.
"My family owes her my existence."The three didn't know what to say.
Kei is not also expecting to be comforted or be told sweet things.
He is not softly himself.
He just wanted to tell them the truth.
Since they were his friends. The movie is more family oriented.
It is about a child who was spoiled and has no manners toward her parent, weak mother.
She ran away from home and never came back.
Her mother looked for her everywhere. Unable to sleep properly or eat. She works as a street vendor never stopping to look for her.
Her other children hated her for loving such a black sheep and ignoring her other children just to look for her.
The mother finds her daughter working as a server and begs her to return but her daughter is still defiant.
But a life threatening incident happened and the daughter was caught up with it. The mother helped the police and risked her life to help take back her daughter.
In the end the daughter apologized for her sins and hugged her dying mother who took two bullets shielding her. They all leave the cinema with red eyes.
Kei in particular was silently crying on his seat."It was so heartwarming." Tyrone said, wiping his nose.
Kei snorts.
"Heartwarming? It's so overrated.""Look who was talking. Kei, you cried the most!" Jack angrily snorts.
Kei smiles.
"I am crying because I never had a mother but someone is risking her life for an unworthy person. I feel disgusted and pity for myself." Kei sighs.
"Let's eat?"Asher hugs Kei's waist.
Jack too.
When Tyrone wants to hug him, Kei glares at him. After that they went to eat.
Kei analysis with the movie is so technical that later the feeling of lost and emotion escapes them."Seriously, what kind of acting was that? She doesn't have to shout that part! She is such an amateur! Look at the mother's flawless acting? Her emotions and expressions. The way she breathes and her full voice. If she is not cast of this movie, this will only sell for brainless fans and be mocked in the industry for decades and more! I tell you, that director is so stupid! He even praised the main characters acting as refreshing? Refreshing my fart! It was disgusting!"
The three finally found something Kei likes to talk about. But Kei is not letting them talk and just listen.
"So even Kei has that moment." Tyrone smiles.
Asher and Jack happily eat burgers as Kei grumbles nonstop.
"I tell you! If they don't care about acting skills then don't have to call them actress!"
A/N:
I forgot to cook.
