February 10th

As Patrick, Ellen, and Juliette pulled up to their beautiful white brick house, with black french doors and black windows, the perfect contrast of colors, they could see Kate and Talula laying on the couch through the window. As Patrick parked his jet black Porsche in their 4 car garage and grabbed his daughter from the back seat, Ellen was already inside. When he got inside, Ellen was sitting on the couch holding Talula like a newborn baby, She was crying into Ellens shoulder. "Patrick, meet me in the kitchen?" Kate said, as they both walked into the Kitchen, "Is she okay? Its 2 am, when did she wake up?" Patrick said in a quiet-ish voice, "She woke up at 12:30, I was sleeping on the couch and she layed next to me crying, I asked her what was wrong and she said 'Jill yelling at me.' I feel so bad for her, Im sorry. Its been hard on her with Jill showing up here and saying nasty stuff" Kate said, "Im sorry Kate, im sorry you had to deal with that. How did she even find our house?" Patrick said, "It was your car, in the driveway. She mustve recognized it." Kate said,

A few hours later, Ellen and Patrick finally fell asleep in their big comfy bed with their newborn daughter laying in between them, around 10 Ellen and Patrick get a group text from Kate, "I saw you guys were sleeping, Very cute." Kate said sarcastically through her text, "Anyway, I decided to take T and the boys to the park. Im gonna drop the boys off at Jessicas then Im gonna go shopping with Talula." Kate said. Ellen didnt end up seeing the text until 12 as Juliette woke her up crying, "Its okay Ellen ill feed her and get her back to sleep, you just sleep while you can." Patrick said as Ellen drifted back to sleep. Patrick layed Juliette on his chest and they both fell back asleep instantly. "Oh my god you two are so cute." Ellen said turning her head from waking up as Patrick also woke up, He just did his McDreamy smirk, "You make me wanna have 18 more McDreamy babies." Ellen said smiling, "Well maybe we should" He said pointing to the shower doing a light smile, "I mean.... Our kids arent home." Ellen said walking to the shower.

Patrick soon followed already aroused and excited, he pushed her up against the cold tile wall and ran his fingers through her warm dark hair as he kissed her over and over again. Slowly laying her on the shower floor, kissing all up and down her beautiful body. He starting picking up his pace with her moaning in his ear, she loved it. She loved him, she loved the life she had built with him. Then there was an interruption, it was Juliette crying, "Ill go check on her" Ellen said slipping her clothes on and slowly walking into the bedroom, "Oh my god Patrick shes turning blue! Get in here!" Ellen yelled, "Oh my god. Okay, we learned this at work, flip her on her stomach and hold her chin while shes on your forearm, Ill call an ambulance, we will be okay." Patrick said, "Patrick i cant do this. I cant, I cant lose her. You do it." Ellen said, "Ellen you got this. They will be here in 2 minutes." Patrick said.

As the ambulance sirens pulled into the driveway Patrick ran down and opened the door to get it, "What do we have." The Paramedic said, "My 3 month old daughter started crying, we went to go check on her and she was turning blue." Patrick explained to him. They loaded her up in the ambulance and Ellen and Patrick got in the back also. As they arrived in the ambulance bay, they took Juliette out and immediately admitted her to a room. She had gotten a cardio consult and they figured out her heart wasnt getting enough blood pumped in and out of it, As they laid with their daughter in a hospital bed a Resident came in with his brand new interns, "Who wants to present?" He said, "Juliette Grey Dempsey, 3 month old female, with a whole in her heart." The new intern said, "Is she gonna be okay?" Patrick said, "Yes, she will be fine. All we need to do is go in with a 2 inch incision, patch her heart, and she should be good to go." Dr. Lukes said as he walked through the door.

"Im so nervous. Is she gonna be okay?" Ellen said laying her head on Patricks shoulder in the waiting room, "She will be okay, its an easy surgery he said." Patrick said resting his head on Ellens head. "Shes out of surgery and in Post-Op if you want to see her."A nurse came out to tell them. She was sleeping, still intubated, it was so hard to see her like that. "She'll be okay El." Patrick said holding Ellen kissing her on the forehead. "We should text Kate and Jess." Ellen said, "You just relax, I will." Patrick said. "Hey Kate and Jess, I hate to ask again, but can you guys have the kids for the next 2 nights? Juliette is in the hospital and she had emergency surgery, she had a hole in her heart. We have to be here for the next 2-3 days. Ellens a mess, we both are." Patrick said in a group text, "Oh my gosh, Im so sorry to hear that. Is she okay? Of course they can stay with me, Luke loves playing with Darby and Sullivan anyway. And Kate you have T?" Jessica replied back, "I have T tonight, we will have a special girls night." Kate replied back.

February 10th, 8:30pm
"El, you should go home, sleep there. Ill stay with her." Patrick said waking Ellen up, "Youre right, Im gonna go sleep, Ill be here at 10 tomorrow morning" Ellen said getting up, "I love you so much Ellen, Ill call you if anything happens" Patrick said hugging her so tight, "I love you too" She said tearing up, "Im sorry, im just overwhelmed right now." Ellen added, "Its okay El. I love you." He said as she left the room. As Ellen walked in the front door, she saw Kate sitting on the couch watching TV. "Hey Kate wheres T?" Ellen said, "Shes asleep, in your bed, she crashed hard. You okay?" Kate asked as Ellen sat on the couch next to her, "No, no im not." Ellen said trying to fight back the tears, "Oh El, im sorry. Come here." Kate said pulling Ellen in and letting her cry on her shoulder. A few hours later, around midnight, Kate picks up her phone to call patrick. "Hey Kate, whats up?" Patrick said answering his phone, "Shes a mess Patrick, I think she needs to be with you. She cried in my arms for 3 hours. She's not doing too well." Kate said, "Wake her up and tell her she needs to come here. I want her here with me too." Patrick said, "Okay she should be there in 30 mins. Bye" Kate said hanging up.

February 11th 1:00am
"Hey El, Patrick wants you at the hospital, Nothings wrong with J, he just needs you." Kate said waking up Ellen, She rolled out of bed as quick as she could. As she walked into the hospital she approached the check-in area, "Who are you hear to see?" The nurse said, "Im Ellen Dempsey, Im hear to see my daughter, Juliette Dempsey." Ellen said, "Shes in 2813." The nurse said with a smile, "Thank you." Ellen said as she walked away. As she approached Juliettes room. She had to gather herself before she even walked in. She walked in to see Patrick laying on an extra hospital bed the doctors brought in for him to sleep on. "Hey El, Come here." Patrick said standing up pulling Ellen in for a hug. Ellen completely broke down in his arms crying so hard, "I just- Im just overwhelmed by everything that has been going on, Its not you, its not Juliette, its not anything. I just feel bad." Ellen said, "Why do you feel bad El? You have nothing to feel bad about." Patrick asked still hugging her tight, "Because i could've prevented this." Ellen said crying even harder, "What?? No El, this isnt your fault. Theres nothing you couldve done to prevent this." Patrick said pulling her away, holding her shoulders and looking into her pale green eyes and kissing her forehead, "Lets just go lay down" Patrick said as he guided Ellen to the bed, She layed down, burried her head in his chest and cried until she fell asleep.
