walking in a winter wonderland

{time jump 1.5 months}monday dec. 23rd, 2:13am

Today they would be flying out to Maine to be with Patricks mom for Christmas. They would be there from the 23rd to the 29th, sleeping in a 3 bedroom house with 4 kids. Fun right? "El, time to get up. We gotta get ready and get the kids in the car." Patrick said, "A Good Morning would be nice!" Ellen said laughing as she got up, "Sorry, im stressing out, Good Morning beautiful." Patrick said kissing her, "Im gonna shower and then put Juliette in the car." Ellen said, "Im gonna go put the luggage in and the carry Talula in there." Patrick said, "Ill let you get the boys because theyre too big for me to be picking them up right now." Ellen said smiling as she got into the shower. The smell of lavender filled the bathroom, "Mm that lovely lavender shampoo smell, that reminds me. I need to shower too." Patrick said smirking, "You have 5 minutes. Come in, no sex." Ellen said, Patrick got in the shower and kisses her and started washing his hair, "This must be hard for you." Ellen said laughing, "Very. Very very hard for me." Patrick said, "K bye, im gonna go put Juliette in the car." Ellen said laughing, "Wow just gonna leave me hanging like that? Not even a kiss." Patrick said, Ellen went up and kissed him, "Now bye. See you in the car." Ellen said leaving the bathroom.

They arrived at the Airport 40 minutes later and were in line to get to their first class seats. "I gotta sit down." Ellen said, "I knew traveling this late in your pregnancy was a bad idea." Patrick said, "No no its fine trust me its okay. I just need to sit down." Ellen said, she went to go find a seat while Patrick and their 4 kids waited in line, "Now boarding flight 315 to Augusta, Maine." A voice came over the intercom, "Thats us honey. Youll be able to sleep for like 7 hours soon." Patrick said, "Okay. Lets get on." They got on and got into their seats, Patrick and Ellen shared a seat, so did Darby and Sullivan, and Juliette was over 1 so she didnt necessarily need a carseat anymore, but they still had her in one. And Talula got her own seat. "Holy shit did you feel that on you too?" Ellen asked, "Yea. Baby is kicking real hard today." Patrick said, "Tell me about it." Ellen said as she rested her head on Patricks chest and fell asleep. Patrick woke up just as they flew over Boston, it was snowing. He knew She loved the snow, it made her feel at home. He decided to not wake her up but instead took a picture of her sleeping next to the airplane window so the snow could be in too. He went to post it on instagram.

Is what he captioned his post. The snow made him think, he thought about how much he loved this woman. They were meant to be. He looked around at his 4 sleeping kids and realized what a good daughter they raised, the twin boys who were so young yet so mature and caring, and the gorgeous Brown Haired Ocean blue eyed baby that they had together. He wouldnt trade this for the world.

They landed in Maine around 11:30am, they still had an hour and a half car ride to his moms house. "Come on guys, lets get in the car." Patrick said to his kids instructing them to the rental car. "Darby stop! Move out of the way!" Sullivan shouted from the backseat, "Calm down boys, just get in your seats so we can go." Ellen said, "T can you help them?" Ellen added, "Yep" Talula said going to buckle her brothers in. They drove down the same one way road in the middle of a snowstorm for an hour, and finally started to get into the town where his mom lived, "Only 30 more minutes until we get to see Grandma!!" ellen said, "Yay!!" They all said from the backseat, Juliette tried to say it too, but she cant quite yet. They drove on a twisty road that over looked "down town". They pulled into her neighborhood and saw all the beautiful christmas lights and all the snow frosted onto the trees, "Thats beautiful." Ellen said pointing to the trees, "Just like you." Patrick said laughing, "Youre so cheesy." Ellen said smiling, "I know. Thats why im laughing. But you are beautiful." Patrick said with a big smile plastered on his face, "Youre not too bad yourself Mr Dempsey." Ellen said interlocking hands with him. "Here we are guys!" Patrick said pulling into his Moms driveway, "Theyre sleeping, ill take Juliette in." Ellen said, she grabbed Juliette. "Oh my goodness! Hi Ellen! Ive missed you so much!!" Amanda said as she opened the door and pulled Ellen in for a hug, "Hi Mom! Ive missed you too!" Ellen said, "And is that my little Juliette?" Amanda said, "It is! Shes just waking up" Ellen said, "Can i hold her?" Amanda said, "Of course! Patrick should be in soon, im gonna sit down tho. This pregnancy has been way worse then it was with Juliette." Ellen said, "Ooo, does that mean you think boy?" Amanda asked with a smile, "Me, Darby and Patrick both think boy! But Talula and Sullivan say girl." Ellen said, "I thought Patrick was a girl up until i was 38 weeks pregnant." Amanda said, "Ill be 41 weeks when i hopefully have the baby, its measuring only about 5 pounds 15 ounces, but by the time of birth should be 6 and a half pounds." Ellen said, "So they want the baby to stay in for longer because its small?" Amanda asked, "Yea, this one will be the small one of our kids for sure." Ellen said smiling, "Hey Ma!" Patrick said opening the door holding the twins and luggage, "Hi honey! Oh let me help you with that! Come here boys!" Amanda said holding out her arms to grab Darby and Sullivan and set them down, "Hi Talula! How are you sweet girl?" Amanda asked, "Im good." Talula ran up to her for a hug. "Sit down Patrick. We can handle that later." Amanda said, He sat down on the couch next to Ellen and wrapped his arm around her, kissing her.

hi guys!! thank you so much for reading! i dont think ill write about christmas, i think ill pick back up when theyre at home. unless you guys think otherwise. btw, this is not meant to be offensive to anyone, i know everyone might celebrate different holidays but from what i know they both celebrate christmas!! thank you all for reading❤️❤️
