time jump 1 week, sunday, december 29th 11:45 pm

After one week of being in Maine for Christmas, they were finally home. Ellens 41 week mark for pregnancy was yesterday, but the baby was still measuring small. "So glad we're home." Ellen said flopping on the bed, "Me too." Patrick said laying next to her, "I love you" Patrick said kissing Ellen, "I love you more." Ellen replied back and dozed off to sleep. They were woken up the next morning at 8:30 by Juliette crying through the baby monitor, "Ill get her. But we're gonna be late for work so get up soon" Patrick said, "Okay." Ellen said rolling out of bed, "Jeez." She looked at her phone and realized it was December 30th, she was so surprised she still hadnt had the baby yet. "Whats wrong El." Patrick said looking at the surprised-ness on her face, "Im just sick of being pregnant." Ellen said laughing, "Yea i get that." Patrick said kissing her, "Im gonna go wake up the kids, you just worry about getting yourself ready and getting in the car" Patrick said smiling wiping her hair out of her face. She got herself ready and made her way downstairs to the car, "Hi guys i made it." Ellen said smiling and laughing as she got into the car, "Took you long enough" Darby said from the backseat, "Darby's in a mood today." Patrick said laughing, they pulled out of the driveway and started driving to the kids school, they pulled up to the parent drop off and let their kids out of the car, "Bye guys. Have a great day." Ellen said as her four kids got out of the car and walked to school.

"So you still think its a boy?" Patrick said as they drove off, they didnt talk too much about their opinions on the baby around the kids because it sparked arguments, "Yea especially because baby is being so stubborn. Juliette wasnt like that." Ellen said, "Me too." Patrick said laughing, "I just want it out already." Patrick added, "Sandra said its weird that we call the baby 'it' is that weird?" Ellen said, "No, would you rather have it called dinosaur?" Patrick asked, "No" Ellen laughed, "Well there you go." Patrick laughed. They pulled into the parking lot at set and got out, "Ellen youre still pregnant? Jeez." Eric said coming up to Ellen, "Its been too damn long i know." Ellen said, "I feel like ive gotten even bigger." Ellen said, "What? No you havent." Chyler said, "Yes i am, admit it." Ellen said smiling, "Maybe just a little bit." Chyler said with a discreat smile, "Yea we want this baby OUT." Patrick said laughing, "We gotta go P! We're gonna be late." Ellen said grabbing his arm and walking inside, "El are you sure you wanna work up until you have the baby?" Patrick said, "Yes Patrick. Im hoping moving this much will make it fly out of me." Ellen said, "Well lets hope it doesnt fly out of you." Patrick said laughing, "Kate worked up until she had the triplets and look where she is now!" Ellen said, "True true. I gotta go, call me when youre done filming." Patrick said kissing her and walking the other way. "Hey Kate! How are you?" Ellen said as she saw Kate, "Oh my gosh i feel like i havent seen you in forever." Kate said pulling Ellen in for a hug, "Its only been a week but same. How are the babies?" Ellen asked, "They just turned 4 months, Eric is the best dad ever and Harper is the best baby ever! How are yours?" Kate said, "Mine are good, just ready for this one to come out now." Ellen said, "Us too. We're excited for you guys!" Kate said, "Thank you! But im gonna be late, see you in a bit." Ellen said walking away.

7:45 pm Monday, December 30th
"Goodnight Darby and Sullivan love you boys." Ellen said kissing her boys and leaving the room, /$3 walked down the hallway to Talulas room, "Goodnight T. Love you so much." Ellen said kissing her forehead and walking out, She made her way down the hallway again, "Goodnight J." Ellen said as she saw Patrick rocking Juliette in her rocking chair, "Ill be in soon, just waiting for her to fall asleep." Patrick said, "I know. Im gonna go shower." Ellen said. She walked into her bathroom and turning on the shower. She washed her hair and got out. The smell of lavender filled the steamy bathroom. "Hi." Patrick said closing the book he was reading as Ellen walked into their bathroom, "Hi." Ellen said sitting down on the bed, "How was your shower?" Patrick asked, "Tiring. Standing that long is tiring." Ellen said, "Well lay down then!" Patrick said, "I have to pee. Ill be back." Ellen said walking into the bathroom, there was a big splash on the tile floor, "What- was that." Patrick asked confused from the bedroom. "My water just broke. My water just broke!!" Ellen said excitingly, "Oh my god! Ill call Justin to come be with the kids and grab the hospital bag and go." Patrick said, "Hey Justin, can you come here? Ellens water just broke." Patrick said over the phone, "Ill be there in ten minutes." Justin said hanging up the phone. Ellen did a little happy dance walking into the bedroom, "Hey hey slow down dont move so much otherwise that baby will fly out of you." Patrick said laughing, "Youre right. Ill put new pants on and we'll go." Ellen said smiling.

"Alright get out of here! Go have that baby." Justin said walking in, "Thank you Justin. We will let you know when we get updates." Ellen said walking out the front door into the car, "Ready?" Patrick said with a smile across his face, "Ready." Ellen said with a huge smile. They drove to the hospital and walked into the Labor+Delivery area of the hospital, "Hi, are you ready to check in?" A nurse at the front desk said, "Ah yes, Ellen Dempsey. Shes in labor." Patrick said, "Ill get your OB." The nurse said, "Well hi Ellen its nice to see you again!" Her OB said walking up to her, "Hi Dr Jennings." Ellen said, "Lets get you a room and ill check you out." Dr Jennings said, Ellen followed her upstairs into her room, she got into a gown and got onto the bed, "Alright Ellen, youre 2 centimeters dialated. Its 10:30 now and im predicting youll be 10 centimeters by 1:30am ish?" Dr. Jennings said, "Can i get an epidural?" Ellen said, "Let me order one for you. They should be coming in in 15 minutes to give it to you." Dr Jennings said leaving, "Ellen thats great news!" Patrick said hugging her and kissing her head. "Lets text the Group Chat and let them know i wont be in work tomorrow!" Ellen said smiling.

"Alright Mrs Dempsey im here for your epidural?" A doctor came in, "Thats her." Patrick said, "Alright im gonna have you sit on the side of the bed and hug the pillow, you might want to grab your husbands hand." The doctor said, "3,2,1" He stuck on the needle, "Oh shit." Ellen said clenching her teeth and squeezing Patricks hand, "All done Els, took it like a champ." Patrick said running his fingers through her hair. (time jump 2 hours) "Hi Ellen. Can i take a look at how dialated now?" Dr Jennings came in saying, it was 12:30am "Sure." Ellen said, "Alright, youre about 7 centimeters. Should be within the next 2 hours. You rest up, and ill come back in an hour." Dr Jennings said leaving, "Im gonna go to sleep for a little bit." Ellen said, "Sounds good El." Patrick said kissing her head. She fell asleep as soon as she hit her pillow.
Patrick: Shes asleep now but Dr said 7 centimeters
Justin: Okay thats amazing. Im gonna go to sleep now but let me know if you need anything
Patrick: Okay thank you so much.
Patrick waiting and played on his phone for about an hour until the Doctor came in at 1:35, "Ellen, shes back just wake up for a couple minutes okay?" Patrick said trying to wake her up calmly. "Okay Ellen youre 10 centimeters! You can start pushing now if youre ready." Dr Jennings said, "Oh my god really?" Ellen said, "Lets start right away!" Ellen added, "Alright, when you feel a contraction, push." Dr Jennings said, She started pushing at the first contracting, "I see the head Ellen youre doing amazing." The Dr said, "Keep going. 2 pushes and baby is here." Dr Jennings said, she pushed again. "One more Ellen great job." Dr Jennings said, "Alright babys out! Here you go Mom" Dr Jennings said handing Ellen the baby, "Oh my gosh." Ellen cried as her babt layed and cried on her chest. Patrick started crying and kissing ellens head, "Its a...." Patrick said.
