After she finished getting ready, Melody headed into the living room. Leslie and Dr. Coblinks were sitting down waiting for her. As she entered they looked in her direction. Leslie walked over to Melody with something in her hands.
"Lydia dropped these off this morning," Leslie said, handing Melody a bag of textbooks.
Melody didn't think Lydia would be back so soon. What about her sister?
"Was my sister with her?" Melody asked.
She did want to see her sister, but she hoped she didn't come here. After what happened to her mother she didn't want to be responsible for another death.
"No, the G.O.M wants to keep humans out of this world. Rose could be in danger if she comes here." Dr. Coblinks answered. "We need to be heading to Websten's right about now. You need to get your class schedule." He added as he walked to the door.
"If you need anything please let us know," Leslie said with delight in her tone.
Leslie came up to Melody and hugged her goodbye. Melody would miss being here after all Leslie did for her. She was like an aunt to her. She was going to miss Leslie.
"Bye. Thank you for all you've done. I do appreciate it." Melody said before heading to the door where Dr. Coblinks was waiting.
"Be safe, dear." Leslie echoed.
Dr. Coblinks waved his hands around the door, speaking a spell under his breath.
"Oben portal til Websten's Academy."
The closed-door gleamed with light as he finished the spell. He then opened the door before them. As it opened a wave of light lit the entire room. It caused a tingle to throw Melody's body, causing her to step back a little.
"This is how will get to Websten's." Dr. Coblinks said, noticing Melody's reaction.
Melody was mesmerized by the portal. She looked back to Leslie, who looked like she was about to cry. Dr.Coblinks gestured to the door.
"We should be going now." He held out his hand to meet Melody's. She grabbed it.
When they entered the doorway there was a pop and a zap like electricity that went through Melody's body, like she'd been hit by a tiny bolt of lightning. She closed her eyes as they were transported to the school. During the transportation, Melody felt like her whole body was spinning around, like a merry-go-round on a sugar rush. She was a bit nauseous after all the turning her stomach did.
Melody opened her eyes after the spinning suddenly stopped. When her eyes focused on the surroundings, she could see that they were standing in a grassy field. The sky was still filled with stars, but the sun was beginning to rise. As she looked harder, she could see a building in the distance and a pathway made out of cobblestone going to the establishment. Melody was stunned at the sight of the amazing building standing before her. The building was like a castle. It was about eight stories tall with two big doors that stood side-by-side at the front of the building. It was Websten's Academy. Next to it, there were smaller buildings which were the dorms. They were about a fourth size of the main building and only four stories tall.
Dr. Coblinks started walking towards the building but stopped to see that Melody was in a trance of some kind. She was still amazed by the site. Melody felt like she was a princess living in a fairy tale world.
"Are you all right?" He said getting her attention back to reality.
"Um. Yes. I just can't believe that we're here. That I'm here." Melody looked to Dr. Coblinks who was about five feet away from her.
