Chapter 16: His Birthday

"Hello?"

"Happy birthday to you, Happy birthday to you, Happy birthday, Happy birthday, Happy Birthday to you."

"Thank you Princess."

"Youre welcome Knight."

"I love you Princess."

"I love you too Knight, see you later."

I hunged up. Birthday na ni James ngayon. Naisipan ko siyang bigyan ng relo. Yun lang kasi ang naiisip kong ibigay sakaniya.

"Dess anak! Nandito na si Stacey!"

"Ok po"

Inayusan na ko ni Stacey sa studio para sa birthday celebration ni James. 3 na kasi ng hapon at 8 ang start ng party.

"Princess san ka na?"

"Im on my way Knight. Hihihi ang bilis mo naman ako mamiss."

"Of course. I want to be with you as soon as possible."

"Hihihi. :") Ill be there soon Knight."

"I'll be waiting."

I hunged up.

"Sino yun si James?" Tanong ni Taylor. Siya kasi ang nagdadrive ng kotse ko papuntang Grand Palace Hotel.

"Huh? Ahh, oo"

"Natanong mo na ba siya?"

"Hindi pa nga eh. Siguro mamaya nalang."

"Hmmm, sige."

Pagkarating namin sa hotel, naghihintay sa labas si James

"You look so beautiful tonight Princess."

"Hihi James naman, you dont have to wait for us here."

"But I miss you so much.." Nagpout siya. ><

"I miss you too, but isnt it rude to leave your guests upstairs?"

"I dont care if its for you."

"Ay nako halika na nga." I laughed.

We entered the Great Hall. Wow ang dami niya palang bisita. I suddenly feel out of place.

"Princess, you okay?"

"Huh? Yes, yes Im okay."

He smiled.

"Sir pinapatawag na po kayo sa center stage."

"Princess wait lang ha?"

"Sure :) Enjoy, its your day."

Nagpunta na ang mga bisita sa designated seats nila.

"Goodevening Ladies and Gentlemen. Welcome to the 22nd birthday of Mr. James Greyson!"

Lumabas si James at nagpalakpakan ang guests. After ng speech niya nagsimula nang iserve ang foods.

Hours later..

"The floor is now open for the dance!"

Lumapit saakin si James at iniabot ang kamay niya.

"Shall we dance my lady?" He said it in a very hot British accent.

I laughed at him and took his hand. We went to the center and danced.

"James,"

"Yes?"

"Why do you want to marry me so fast?"

He remained silent. Then he sighed.

"Because I want an assurance na hindi ka na mawawala saakin."

"But I wont go away, I wont leave you."

"If things were that easy.. If things will be the way you plan it."

"What do you mean?"

"Come lets go outside"

Hinila ako ni James papunta sa veranda.

"There's something you need to know Chance."

Bigla nalang akong nakaramdam ng kaba.

"Im listening."

He took a deep breath and opened his mouth.

"Son! There you are!!" May lalaking around 50s na sumingit sa usapan namin. Son?

"Father? What are you doing here?"

Father? Siya ang tatay ni James?? Napansin kong may kasama ang tatay ni James na isang babae around her 20s. Maganda siya, maputi, maganda ang kurba ng katawan and she looks like an angel, her beauty was so effortless. I suddenly felt insecure.

"I'd like you Ms. Montecillo to meet Jennica Anne Samonte, James's fiancé."
