Eclipse's POV
I quietly stepped into the house, my shorter dad appearing practically out of nowhere and hugging me.
"Eclipse there you are I was worried. Your dad said you were going out but it's late..!"
"Sorry dad, um, can I talk to you two about something?? Or is daddy in bed."
"Nope he's up, lemme go get him." Shoyo said before walking off, soon returning with Tobio. We all sat down together, my dads sitting with each other while I tugged at the sleeve of my dress.
"Is something wrong?" Tobio asked with a bit of concern.
"Well, I ran into some really weird guy on my way home.."
"Did he do something to you? Who was it-"
"No, dad not like that. He said he knew you guys, and helped you once.."
"Oh??"
"He said that, that you're actually of a royal bloodline..."
"..."
"Are you??"
"Er.. yeah, I am."
"Why did neither of you ever tell me?"
"Well, Shoyo and I.. it's a really, really long story, Eclipse..."
"Then tell it to me."
After an explanation
Wow. I couldn't believe was just told to me. Both of my dads went through all of that just to be with each other. Because my grandparents, who were fricking a king and a queen, were just awful to them..!
"Dad, but, don't you want to be king? Something that's rightfully your's was just, just taken from you!"
"Well, I did, it was something I waited for. But none of that mattered if I had to be away from Shoyo."
"But, but-"
"It's alright, Eclipse.. Please don't worry about it. Your dad and I are very happy with our lives here. And besides, if we never came here, we would never have had you." Tobio said, getting up and giving my forehead a kiss. I smiled faintly, wrapping my arms around him before letting him go. Both my dads told me goodnight, Tobio leaving first while Shoyo walked over and spoke quietly.
"You alright?"
"Yeah.. I'm just, it's shocking. I mean, dad should be king.."
"I know sweetheart.. and your dad has had some, some regrets about it."
"Regrets?"
"Not regrets regarding either of us. But, he's told me several times how you deserve to have been raised in a palace. Deserve to have met everyone we knew at the palace.. He told me that he wished he could have given me a royal wedding... And he and I both agree that when the time would've come, you would have made an incredible queen." Shoyo said with a soft smile. I chuckled slightly, hugging him tightly.
"Thanks dad.."
"We both love you so much. You gonna be alright?"
"Yeah, I'll be alright. You go on to bed dad." I said, letting Shoyo go as he kissed my head and walked off. After I was sure they were both gone, I quietly got up and went to my room. I tried sleeping, but there was so much going on in my mind. What kingdom was rightfully my father's? Why did he never go back after all these years to try and reclaim the throne? Who, who were my grandparents..
After a few more hours of tossing and turning, I decided there was no way I was resting until I got more answers. I got up and changed, peaking into my parents' room, smiling faintly to see them both soundly sleeping. As quietly as I could, I snuck in and grabbed one of my dad's charcoal sticks and parchment, leaving them a note before rushing to the door and silently shutting it behind me.
Of course I could've just asked them to take me back to the kingdom, but after what my dads just told me, they sounded pretty darn adamant that they were never stepping back foot in that land since they'd surely be arrested on sight. At least Shoyo would. So, I was on my own. Actually, there was someone I could take with me.
The next morning: Hinata's POV
I yawned, smiling happily as I gave my husband a quick kiss in his sleep before getting up. Guess I could get started on some breakfast. I stretched, starting to head for the door before seeing something left out on my desk.
"What's this.." I mumbled, picking up the parchment and reading it thoroughly. Once I finished the note, I nearly passed out from panic.
"TOBIO."
"What- what I'm up what's wrong-"
"Eclipse..! She, she ran off..!"
"What...??!"
"Here!" I said, shoving the note at my husband. He rubbed his eyes before reading the note with furrowed brows. He sighed, setting the note down before getting up and grumbling to me.
"Get changed."
"What're you do-"
"We're going after her."
"How! Kuroo and Kenma aren't here. And it's over seas!"
"Then we get a different pirate, or shipment, or crew, or I don't care who to take us. We're getting our daughter before something happens to her." Tobio said in what anyone else would take as an enraged tone, but I could tell he was just worried sick like I was. I nodded and quickly changed while my husband did the same before grabbing my hand and dragging me towards the door. Before we could open the door, it ended up swinging open. Akaashi standing in front of us in his human form.
"Grant has gone missing." He said, trying to sound as calm as he could but even he looked scared half to death. Tobio and I exchanged looked before I blurted out,
"Eclipse is missing too and she said that she's going back to the kingdom Tobio and I came from because she wants to see what happened for herself and she knew we wouldn't take her because it's to dangerous so she probably took Grant with her!" I said in one breath, Akaashi looking a bit baffled before processing what I just rambled so quickly.
"You two are of course going to look for her, correct?"
"Of course!"
"Then you will receive my and my husband's help."
"You guys will come with us!"
"...I am unable to come. I am unable to leave my people, but my husband will accompany you and take you back to the kingdom of your origin. I will provide what help I can from the sea. It is more powerful than it seems." Akaashi explained. Tobio and I gratefully accepted his help as we all went to the docs where Bokuto was pacing around so much that if he kept going, the cobble under his feet was gonna crumble.
"There you guys are, c'mon lets go already..!" Bokuto said impatiently, going into the water as Akaashi followed. I took in a deep breath, trying to calm my nerves. I was scared, what if Eclipse and Grant got lost or hurt?? What if it was all my fault for never telling her about her dad's origins..
"Hey, Shoyo. Look at me." Tobio said as he grabbed my hand. I looked up at him as he smiled faintly.
"I promise we're going to get her back. And then we will all return home together, yeah?"
"Yeah. Together."
