Grant's POV
"Grant, there you are. How did today go."
"It was fine.. Hey dad?"
"Mhm?"
"So.. Eclipse told us something, kind of concerning." I said, my dad tilting his head and sitting on the bed in our inn room. I sat with him, telling him what Eclipse and Tsukishima had told all of us. My dad listened quietly before nodding.
"That is certainly, a lot to hear. Is Eclipse talking with her fathers about it?"
"Mhm. She said a while ago she was going to do that. So I made sure that Akihiko went back to his room before coming back here."
"How is Akihiko?"
"He's doing alright I suppose. Dad, do you think we should talk about getting the others??"
"I think we should discuss it with your father and with Eclipse and her parents first. I think it would be a good idea to have as much help as absolutely possible though."
"Alright. I'm gonna go talk to them." I said, standing up and quietly walking out into the hallway. I walked down a few doors to Eclipse's room and knocked. Waiting patiently as her dad opened the door and let me in.
"Hi Grant!" Eclipse said with a smile from the bed. I smiled faintly and sat with her while her dads sat on the other small bed next to us.
"Hey, um. I wanted to talk to all of you about something."
"Oh??"
"Well, you do plan on going through with all this.. even though it means a mess, right?"
"Yeah.. I do."
"Well, before you do anything.. I think it'd be a good idea if we got some help. You know, so that there wouldn't be such an unfair fight between villagers and soldiers."
"You think we should go get soldiers???"
"No. I think we should ask leaders of all types to help us."
"What do you mean, 'all types'??"
"Well. Believe it or not, mermaids can be very useful and could heal anyone they need. My father is acquainted with pirates. And there are many other 'mythological' creatures who aren't quite a savage as the stories make them out to be." I explained, Eclipse looking at her dads. Tobio raising his brow at me.
"And. Exactly how do you plan on getting them to help?"
"Well.. Go talk to them. Just because you humans are unaware of them hiding everywhere, some even in plain sight, doesn't mean they are unaware of you. In fact, a lot of them strangely live in plain sight and just keep their secret hidden. You may have encountered them before."
"What type of creatures are you considering talking to about this."
"Well, my father. The pirates named Kuroo and Kenma. There is a vampire prince, well, he is a king now named Oikawa."
"Wa-"
"And there are werewolf twin leaders named Atsumu and Osamu."
"Hol-"
"And there are of course there is a queen of Dragons and other creatures who's name is Saeko."
"WAIT!" Shoyo said in shock. I stopped, looking at him as he looked at me wide-eyed.
"What???"
".......all those people are, are creatures like that???"
"Yes?"
"....TOBIO." He said with a smile, Tobio smiling faintly and ruffling his hair.
"Is there something wrong with that??"
"No, no it's all fine. It's just that, well, we know, or knew, all those people at one point. Except maybe Saeko."
"Wow. really? You guys really got around huh?"
"Well. You get around when you're running from a crazy king and queen." Shoyo said with a small laugh. Tobio nodded in agreement as I stood up.
"So, what do you guys think?"
"I think it'd be a good idea to have that much extra help. If they agree of course."
"Then, I will go and find them all."
"Wait, I want to come." Eclipse said as she got up. Both her parents looked worried, but they also knew that they couldn't stop her. I sighed, knowing full well I wouldn't be able to stop her either. I gave a nod, her smiling and hugging me.
"I think Akihiko should come along too." She said, looking up at me. I scratched the back of my head before sighing.
"Well, what if they notice he's missing??" I asked, Tobio shaking his head.
"I think the king and queen would be delighted. It gives them more power if their 'heir' is gone again. And when you all return. It is all the more proof that they have lied." Tobio said. I guess he made a fair point.
"Alright. We'll go talk to him. But we have to time this all right. I wish we had a way of talking to you guys while we're gone though.." Eclipse said with a sigh. I furrowed my brows in thought before saying I'd be right back. I went and got my dad, bringing him back into the room and explaining he could be the way we could talk while gone.
"What's Bokuto gonna do???" Eclipse asked with curiosity.
"Well. My dad has the ability to make portals. Not portals to like, go in but to communicate with."
"Woahhh, really?"
"Uh huh. You'd be willing to do that, right dad?" I asked, my dad smiling and nodding. He took the necklace off from around his neck and gave it to me. This would be the way he could communicate with me since, well, I didn't have the same powers as him.
"That's great! Come on let's go talk to Akihiko!" Eclipse said, grabbing my hand and dragging me to the door. I looked at her surprised but followed along. The guards certainly looked annoyed by us coming to visit again, but stepped aside. Eclipse dragged me to Akihiko's room before she burst in with a smile.
Akihiko startled, looking at us both in surprise. Eclipse giggling and explaining our plan quietly while we all sat together on Akihiko's bed again. Akihiko seemed nervous, but intrigued.
"...Okay, I'm in." He said quietly. I nodded as Eclipse and I got up to leave.
"Good. Then manage to sneak out tonight and come to the inn. We will meet you there to prepare, and then leave first thing in the morning."
