Eclipse's POV
I was glad Saeko was willing to show me the water source that was here. I'm sure it was precious to her and her family since they were really some of the only humans that lived here among the dragons. I sat in front of the water source, taking the necklace and gently dipping it into the still water. Waiting for a bit before the water swirled, Kotaro's face looking back at me instead of my reflection.

"Eclipse! Hey, how are you guys doing? How's Grant??"

"We're doing okay. Grant is fine, he's resting right now."

"That's good, that's good. Is there a reason you called??"

"Yeah.. Um. Can I talk to my dads..?"

"Of course! Well, Shoyo is asleep I think but Tobio is awake. Want me to go find him?"

"Yes please." I said, Kotaro rushing off. I was staring down at my reflection for a while in thought before I saw my dad.

"Hi Eclipse."

"Hi dad..."

"You doing okay?"

"Yeah.."

"What's going on?"

"Well.. We have a lot of help. Atsumu and Osamu said they'd help. And Oikawa said that his people would provide us with weaponry while Akaashi said he'd give us healers. And we got a dragon."

"Well, that's great, isn't it?"

"Yeah..."

"What else is wrong sweetheart.."

"I'm just scared dad. I know what that overseer guy said or whatever. But it's still scary."

"I know, it's normal to be scared. But please, whatever happens. I do not want you blaming yourself for anything bad that will happen. Okay?"

"But it would be my fault.. I'm the one who is going to come home in a few days and flat out shout in front of the village square about all these lies the king and queen have said. I'm the one who would start a riot and trigger the series of events.."

"You are doing the right thing. These people, our people, deserve to know what lies have been told to them. And they deserve to fight for what they want." I smiled slightly, feeling a little bit better.

"I guess you're right dad."

"When have I ever been wrong?" He said, making me laugh. He smiled at me, promising that everything would be okay.

"Thanks dad.. I should go to rest."

"Alright. Eclipse, Shoyo and I are proud of you, and of Grant and Akihiko. You're all very brave for doing this."

"I love you."

"I love you too. I will see you in a few days." He said, disappearing as the water returned to it's calm state. I slowly stood up, putting the necklace back around my neck so I wouldn't lose it. I quietly made my way back to the place that Grant, Akihiko and I were all staying. But.. as I neared my room, I heard some moaning... And my room was RIGHT next to Grant and Akihiko's.

Oh my godddddd even when I'm not home I have to hear- you know what.. I'm gonna go see the dragons for a few hours and pray that they're done when I get back.

Akihiko's POV
I caught my breath, Grant pressing loving kisses to my collarbone and chest. He smiled at me as I messily kissed him, still feeling lightheaded.

"Are you okay love? Do you want me to go find you some water?" Grant asked while cupping my cheek. I shook my head, holding onto him tightly.

"No.. stay with me." I mumbled, burying my face into his neck. Honestly, a drink right now would be nice. But it felt to nice to be here in Grant's lap, our bare bodies pressed against each other. The last time we did this, we had to make due with our clothes on. It felt a lot better without restricting pants or clothes on. And I was glad that even though we were at a make-shift house in the middle of a dragon's territory, the doors locked.

Grant just held me in comfortable silence, every so often giving some part of my body a kiss. While I was sitting there, Grant leaned over and grabbed a cloth towel, or some kind of patch of cloth that was provided to us, to clean us both up. Since we had no baths here, Grant had to pull out, actually both times we did it. So it mostly left a mess on our stomachs. Once everything was cleaned off, Grant carefully scrunched the towel and put it into a bin that had the words "Burn box" labeled on top of it. Guess that was their versions of garbage. Why toss it out when you have dragons that can just burn your disposals.

Grant kept a hold of me and moved so we were laying down. He yawned as I rested my head on his chest, listening to his heartbeat and breathing returning to a rhythmic pattern.

"Grant?"

"Mhm?"

"If you were to have kids, what would you ever have?" I asked curiously. Grant hummed slightly while staring at the ceiling before shrugging.

"I guess a girl. What about you?" He asked. I wasn't sure. It felt strange, the thought of ever having kids since I was always told that I'm still a kid myself. I mean. I wasn't THAT young. But I also wasn't at the right age to be having kids yet either.

"I don't know. A girl doesn't seem so bad." I said, Grant smiling slightly and nodding before giving the top of my head a kiss.

"Hey Grant... Say that we both survive after all this is over.. What's gonna happen?"

"...Well. I'd have to go back home."

"You mean, underwater forever??"

"Yeah. See, a long time ago, I discovered that I'm supposed to take over as king from my father."

"Isn't that how it always works?"

"Not among my people. We have a trident that decides. It will glow and will only allow the next ruler to wield it."

"Oh... I see."

"You know.. you could come with me?"

"..."

"Do you not want to?"

"I.. I want to stay with you. But. My home is up here. And, I mean... being a mermaid, er, merman, was really cool, but-"

"But under water isn't your home."

"..No. It isn't..." I said quietly. Grant nodded in understanding, asking me to look at him. He pressed a gentle kiss to my lips. After we pulled away, I laid my head back onto his chest quietly. Even if he and I live. We still may not be together.
