Chapter 13

Yamaguchi's POV
"Well??" Eclipse asked with both excitement and nervousness, and impatience. I bit my lip. Looking away and down at Tsukki before taking in a really, really deep breath.

"...Yes. He, he told me that if you do it. You'll win."

"Really!"

"Yeah... He said your dads will be at the throne.. and, that eventually you'll marry and have another heir. But... it will be messy, with.. with a lot of blood shed. But.. Tobio will be king." I mumbled quietly. Eclipse letting out a stressed breath before hugging me.

"Thank you for talking to that guy, Yamaguchi.. It means so much."

"Yeah. Yeah no problem." I said with a tiny smile. Eclipse ran off and left me in the room with Tsukki. I sighed heavily. That guy said that.. if I told her, that Tsukki would be gravely injured. What if he dies... It was too late now.. I can't just, go tell her I was lying or anything. Besides.. I know that Tobio should be the one in charge. And, I don't want Akihiko to suffer and die because of my selfishness. But I wanted to cry now. Did I just seal my boyfriend's, and so many others', fates...

"...Tsukki?"

"Mm..."

"..Tsukki...??" I gently shook his shoulder until he woke up and rubbed his eyes.

"Is something wrong Yama?" He asked tiredly. I bit my lip before sniffling, starting to cry. Tsukki looked at me surprised before grabbing me in a tight hug.

"Yama, what's wrong?"

"...I.. I'm sorry..!"

"What.. Sorry for what?"

"I love you!" I cried, Tsukki seeming definitely confused by my outburst. He held me closer, kissing my head.

"I love you too Yama.. please, tell me what's wrong.."

"I-I.. I talked to t-that guy..."

"The freak in the dungeons? What the hell did he tell you."

"He.. he said if, if I told E-Eclipse what he t-told me.. that... that you'd be hurt. And a lot of people would die. But i-if I didn't, the king and queen win.. and Akihiko would be killed! And I told Eclipse...!" I choked out, Tsukki taking in a breath as he held me close.

"Hey, look at me."

"...Tsu-"

"You did the right thing by telling Eclipse. As annoying as they both were, Tobio and Shoyo do deserve the throne. And that kid doesn't deserve to be killed."

"What about you! What about everyone else who will die..!!"

"Things get messy, Yama.. You knew that was a possibility, a war between the people and the knights."

"Y-yeah, but-"

"Listen. Whatever will happen, will happen. And I promise that you'll be okay."

"I don't know how I'll live if I lose you though.."

"You'll never lose me Yama. I'm right here.. Now come on. You need to sleep." Tsukki said while pressing soft kisses to my forehead. I clung onto Tsukki for dear life, listening to him quietly telling me how much he loved me until I drifted off.

Tsukishima's POV
So. My fate is to die now huh? If it happens... it happens. But there was no reason that bastard had to tell Yama about it and scare him like this. Once I was absolutely sure he was asleep, I got up and changed before heading out. Asahi saw me and asked what was I doing awake.

"Let me in the dungeons."

"What?"

"Let me go down into the dungeons."

"Why-"

"Do it now. Or so help me, I will break your cleaning arm." I said angrily, Asahi looking taken aback but gave me the keys. I walked off and down into the dungeons, walking over to the asshole who was causing my boyfriend such distress over doing the right thing for the good of the people.

"Hey, asshole."

"Tsk tsk tsk. That isn't a nice word."

"I-"

"You've come down here to scold me about speaking to your loved one, hm? Please, come closer." He said. I walked closer, looking down at his hand when he touched my arm. He tilted his head before I pulled away.

"Alright weirdo what was that for."

"Mm. Your heart is not so pure."

"What nonsense are you spitting."

"But your love is."

"What-"

"Your love for Tadashi Yamaguchi is strong. You long for him to be your husband, no?"

"Of course I do."

"Would you be so kind, as to give me a lock of your hair?"

"The hell are you talking about why do you need my hair for."

"It could be very useful. I will give it right back." The man said with a grin. I scowled at him. This guy was being super, fucking weird.

"What are you going to do, what does giving you my hair gonna do."

"You do not have to. But I promise you. It will be very useful. And not just for you. But for your lover." He said. I didn't understand what he was saying, but I gave in and grabbed a bit of my hair. Cutting it with a small blade I kept on me before handing it to him. The man, a bit too eagerly, took it and turned his back to me while walking to the corner of the cell. I waited impatiently when he turned back around and reached his arm through the bars.

I looked at him suspiciously before holding my palm open underneath his hand. He dropped something into my hand before retracting his arm. I looked down, seeing two rings. My name on one, and Yama's name on the other.. his name written as 'Tadashi Tsukishima".

"...What are these."

"Give one to your love. And you wear the other."

"Why."

"It could bring you both some luck." He said with a smile. I slowly nodded, turning around to leave before the man laughed.

"One more thing, Kei Tsukishima."

"...What."

"You must make sure that no one leaves."

"What?"

"Eclipse knows the fate. And there will be servants and friends who will panic and try to flee. You must not allow anyone to run away from their fates. Especially the young acting prince."
