Few Days Time Skip: Grant's POV
I woke up slowly, looking down at Akihiko who was cuddled up next to me. I smiled faintly, kissing his forehead, temples, and cheeks until he woke up. He slowly blinked, eyes adjusting to the light before looking up at me.
"Mm... Morning.."
"Good morning love.. We need to get ready to leave.."
"Already..?"
"Yes." I said gently, Akihiko nodding slightly as he sat up on the edge of the bed and stretched. I rolled onto my side, unable to help but admire the marks he had littering his back and neck. Marks that indicated he was mine. We both got up and got dressed, leaving the building and meeting Eclipse, Saeko, Ryu, and Kiyoko.
"Alrighty you guys. Ready?" Eclipse asked, looking both excited, and nervous, and just, a jumble of everything. I nodded, extending my thanks to Saeko and her family before helping Akihiko and Eclipse as much as I could to climb onto Nightfall. It wasn't easy. He was really massive. But, eventually we were all on as he spread his wings and took off.
"Hey buddy, over there please." I said, tapping his neck. He looked over, seeing our horses who were still in their spots, drinking and eating what little grass and grains could grow around here. Nightfall flew by, his massive size scaring the horses but he landed rather gently and extended his claws.
Both horses looked ready to run until Eclipse leaned over and waved at them to come over. I'm glad the horses trusted Eclipse, so they made their ways over and Nightfall was surprisingly gentle to hold them before soaring off again towards our village.
Eclipse was busy talking to Nightfall by balancing her way up his long neck and sitting by where his ears would be. Akihiko laughing and finding being up so high fun. I was holding him firmly by his waist so he wouldn't fall when he looked down towards the ground.
"Woah, Grant. Look at that." He said, pointing. I looked down as well, smiling faintly to see that in the forests, there were packs of wolves running swiftly towards our village. On the other side where the sea was, several pirate ships could be spotted in the distance approaching. And along side the ships, I saw many of my people swimming, leaping out of the water to both swim faster, and it was fun.
Akihiko kept his eyes on the ground the whole ride. I shouted and asked Nightfall to land a bit away from the village to not cause a humongous ruckus. Yet. Very swiftly, he landed and let our horses out of his claws. Once Eclipse, Akihiko, and I finally managed to get off of the massive dragon, we mounted the horses who actually seemed to have enjoyed the trip too.
Nightfall waited patiently while we all headed to town. On the outskirts of it, I could see the packs of wolves waiting. All of them watching us in their hiding spots as we rode by. Kuroo and Kenma, and several of their own crews, were lying in wait as well right outside of the city where they would not be seen by guards.
Eclipse's POV
I took in a hugeeeee deep breath, trying to calm my nerves. We stopped at the inn, both of my dads tackling me in hugs before following us to the village square where it'd be busiest. Especially at this time of day. My dads both had cloaks on to hide themselves until we reached the spot.
Some people stopped and stared since it was strange to see all of us walking together, with two cloaked men. And not to mention, Akihiko was not hidden and was sitting behind Grant. Once all of us were positioned where everyone present could see, I patted my horse and stood up on her saddle so I stood tall, speaking loudly to gather everyone's attention.
"Everyone. Your king and your queen have lied to you. For years, they have given you all nothing but lies. And they have punished and taxed you if you did not believe them. The young prince, Akihiko Kageyama, is dead. The prince, Tobio Kageyama, is alive. And was driven away by his parents." I said, people mumbling as Tobio took the hood of his cloak down.
People stared at him wide-eyed, talking and murmuring as more and more people left their homes and gathered to hear what we had to say. Tobio looked at his people as Akihiko, to my very great surprise, spoke up too.
"I am not the prince Akihiko Kageyama. The king and queen used all of your gold to purchase me as a temporary replacement simply because I look like the prince... The young prince who they killed." He said quietly. Everyone began talking even more, Tobio looking surprised as well. After a few moments of shock from both us and the crowd, my father, Tobio, angrily spoke.
"My mother and father are not fit to be king and queen. They never were. They only lie and are selfish. They both have abused me, and their servants. Abused to the point I had to run from them. Only years later to find out... They've killed my brother..." He said, glancing at Akihiko who said, a bit quieter.
"They killed him because he was going to tell others about their lies... They staged it as a suicide." My dad looked heartbroken. And I felt terrible. But we didn't have time to mourn. The people began shouting, looking enraged by our truths. All of the noise caused guards to show up. The guards were threatening the people, but the people had enough. I watched as they began to revolt, but they were far overwhelmed by the well-armored soldiers with the finest swords.
Blood was already being spilled, innocent villagers screaming as their flesh was pierced by the swords. Grant grabbed a seashell from his saddlebag, blowing through it as it created a great ringing in the air that could be heard for miles. The village people continued to fight as more and more soldiers appeared. It looked hopeless, until the guards spotted our backup as they all rushed in to help.
