Day 1 - Monday 9th November 2020

"Day 1 of the Salsa." I declared as we took a break.

"It's been a sweaty one." Harvey stated, causing me to cast my eyes over to the sweat that accumulated on his arms and face.

"A sweaty, wetty, sticky one."

"A bruisey one as well." He added.

"I've cut myself," I began to list off, "I've bruised myself." I inspected the bruises that had formed on my arm.

"I mean, I think I've got red marks all over my body probably." Continued Harv.

"You've got red marks from lifts, but it's there." I announced happily.

"We've worked hard today, we've actually done quite a lot of the routine haven't we?" He spoke however I got sidetracked and found myself laughing at the literal drops coming from the tips of his hair.

"I don't think you've ever sweat this much, the Jive, one day you sweated that much." I went on to correct myself.

"Oh my god." He ruffled his hair round a bit, and just giggled to himself. With such a relentless dance it was inevitable.

"We need a comeback though, we need a comeback, and this is our comeback."

"I don't want a 6 again." Harv decided

"Never."

"Neva." He repeated

"Well done today." I held out my hand, wanting a high five, but in return receiving a bite to the hand.

Never a dull moment honestly.

Once our short rest was over, we cracked on with carrying on our lifts. Repeating what needed to happen.

"You're going to think, 'centre to my shoulder, flip around shoulder'." I instructed, putting myself in his shoes and showing the movements as I spoke.

"Flip shoulder flip, and down." I said throughout the first attempt, "that was a bit better, again."

"5,6,7 and go." It was our 5th attempt so far. Him flipping me around and placing me wonderfully.

"Yes! Go again." I encouraged, wanting to get it drilled in to him, becoming almost like second nature.

Then we moved onto practicing the armography along with foot placement and steps simultaneously.

All I can say is I think imma be waking up in the morning going "a 1,2,3 a 1,2,3."

Day 2 - Tuesday 10th November

"Early and sore, very sore." I stated as we sat in our dressing room, awaiting our time slot on Lorraine.

"I'm saving my energy to talk." Harvey said, totally contradicting his words.

We'd Smashed yesterday's rehearsal and now were both feeling it.

Day 3 - Wednesday 11th November

We were properly working on timing as we played the music, going over steps and counting beats.

"You've got time, a 1,2,3, 1, a, 1,2,3." I imitated the actions along with him.

"I'm sorry." He told me knowing he partially messed up on the last run.

"That was good, you just did 3 back to back so, well done." I expressed with reassurance.

Day 4 - Thursday 12th November

We'd been working on the improvement of the pot stir, which is a big part of this dance to be honest.
