This is a cheesy Christmas story with all the elements of a cheesy predictable Christmas movie 😂 And it's taking place during Arrow s4/Flash s2. There's surprises, love, mistletoe kisses, snow angels, some angst and a happy ending. And lots and lots of Olivarry fluff. And future stepfather/stepson bonding between Barry and William.

Almost a week had past since Oliver learned he had a son after beating an immortal Egyptian madman. Christmas was soon coming up and he knew it would be a busy time this year. But he still wanted to do something special for his son even though he couldn't tell him he was the boys father yet to honor Samantha's wishes and to protect him. He'd only spent a little time with the young boy so far, but he figured meeting The Flash must be high on his Christmas list and conveniently Barry happens to be the only person who knows about his secret. That gave Oliver an excuse to call him.
"Hey, is everything alright?" Barry asked as he picked up his phone expecting a worst case scenario when Oliver called.
"Yeah, everything's fine." The archer assured him before he continued. "I was just thinking about the holidays coming up and since it's the first year I know about my son I just wondered... if maybe..." he scratched his scruffy chin because he felt nervous by asking this favor. "...his favorite superhero could run by and surprise him?" he felt a bit stupid for asking because he knew if the roles were reversed, he'd definitely say no. He wasn't a superhero to show up at kids parties.
But Barry responded with excitement. "Of course. You meant the Flash right?" he asked with a chuckle. Oliver was trying not to laugh but he couldn't help but chuckle as well. There was something charming with Barry's self confidence and the teasing. Their loving bickering always made Oliver smile, he just couldn't help it.
"Yeah the boy has no taste obviously." The Star City hero replied and Barry pretended to sound offended by the insult while he seemed to think of a comeback.
"Or maybe you're the one with no taste?" the words left the speedster's mouth before he could stop them. He was glad Oliver couldn't see the way he was blushing right now.
Oliver's heart skipped a beat at that slightly teasing insult. If only Barry knew how wrong he was about that one. He realized he was silent for a couple of seconds when Barry cleared his throat.
A smile crossed Oliver's face when he replied again. "Don't push your luck. I might regret ever asking and just buy him a Green Arrow action figure instead." he said and Barry chuckled again.
"Okay, I'll be there... or I mean the Flash will." The dorky man said and Oliver's lips twitched into a bigger smile. Ever since their last mission together the thought of Barry made him smile more than ever.
"Okay, so will Christmas work?" he asked unsurely because it didn't really feel fair to ask Barry to be some mascot on Christmas.
"Of course, I think The Flash can spare a few hours of his Christmas, but I'll have to ask him though." Barry joked and managed to get a real laugh from Oliver this time. Which was rare. But Barry loved that laugh.
"Okay, see you then." Oliver said before he hung up, still wearing a big smile on his face.

When Christmas morning came Felicity was in the hospital and Oliver wasn't sure he would even be able to make it to Central City. The day before Christmas Eve he had proposed and now he was leaving her. He couldn't exactly tell her about his son  so he made up the first lie that came to mind.
"I don't wanna leave you like this, but after the last mission with team Flash I sorta owe Barry a favor and I said I was gonna drop by around Christmas." he said while squeezing Felicity's hand with the engagement ring. "But I can stay here if you want..." he said in an attempt to get her to stop him, but he hoped she wouldn't. Her lips slowly twitched into a smile despite the pain. The meds were helping since they were strong.
"Then you should go. I'm stuck here but that doesn't mean you have to be too." Felicity said and they smiled softly at each other. He leaned in and kissed her forehead before he stood up.
"I'll be back tomorrow." Oliver said and received a weird look from Felicity. He blushed since his sentence could imply that he intended to stay the night in Central City. "Or tonight I mean..." he corrected himself while his cheeks were flushing bright red.
Felicity giggled. "Sounds like you're having an affair with a certain speedster." she joked and Oliver could feel his face heating up even more.
Then they became silent when John and Thea arrived to visit Felicity. Oliver quickly gave Felicity another forehead kiss before he exited the hospital room. "Merry Christmas, but I gotta go." he said and gave his sister a quick hug and nodded in Diggle's direction before he took off to the train station.
