One-shots avengers captured/tortured

Accord or No Accord

"So its all agreed then" Tony addressed the group "YE-" PING Steve reached into his pocket... 

"I have to go" and he flung himself out of the doors. Unbeknownst to him Tony followed. He found him at the stairwell "Steve! Steve" he called " I know we have our differences that we don't agree but-" and there he was, Steve stood, barely, leaning on the banister hands supporting his head, "Steve?" without looking up he  just shows Tony his phone.

 Tony tilts his head confused until he sees the caller ID and it all clicks into place he  takes a shallow breath "Peggy?" Steve removes a hand his red eyes starting back into Tony's giving a watery "yes" Tony drops his head his eyes getting equally watery until "Aunt Peggy's Gone?" Steve nods before wait -"she was your aunt?" no reply "oh Tony I'm so sorry"  Tony remained downcast  uncharacteristically silent. a simple nod then he's hugging Steve or Steve's hugging him its unclear but both men know in that moment, they needed it. "Not as sorry as I am"

After a lot of sniffles they break apart and once they do Steve starts "Look it's not that-not that I don't want to be put in check I do! I've seen lives be lost because of irresponsibility first hand but-" he pauses Tony gives him a look -urging him to go on- a rare small smile adorns him giving eye contact Steve takes a breath and continues "Whilst we were apart-I found out Shield was just a front for Hydra, that B-Bucky was a-alive this this w whole time! He was Being brainwashed and used by HYDRA! and AND I TRUSTED SHIELD WITH EVERYTHING!

 EVERYTHING ABOUT ME, ABOUT MY PAST, ABOUT MY TRAUMA, MY DNA, ABOUT EVERYTHING AND THEY TALK OF TRUST WHEN THEY DID THIS!!! his eyes had begun to leak as he spoke with uncanned agitation, unlike anything Tony had ever heard the super soldier sound. The next words were hiccuped out "I D-Don't F-Feel I can tr-trust anyone again" 

Tony remained silent as Steve bawled. Unconsciously he took Steve under his arm laying his' head on his chest stroking his hair as he allowed the kid to let it all out.  Because that's what he was Tony thought 'just a kid.' As Steve calmed a comfortable silence hung between them. Then 

"Steve You know I haven't had the best track record" he chuckled "Ultron weapons, etc" Steve looked up to meet his eyes, brown staring back "I saw with my own eyes the destruction I caused hell I got this-he pointed to his chest- special delivery with my name all over it and-" he paused wetting his lips thinking over what to say as Steve's eyes remained on him, finally he spoke "I've taken the brunt of families anger and grief. Letter after letter of hate and revenge and blame and I can't take much more" 

it wasn't said angrily as Steve had it was said with a calm desperation, an echo of 'Never Again' with Steve listening intently Tony continued with more vigour.

"I get it I do, you've seen and experienced things I never will. Similarly I've experienced things you haven't we're two different people!" Again he was met with a comfortable silence.
"Maybe there could be a way forward that works for us both, not this accord but an accord that We come up with that works for us, that the UN have to accept how does that sound...Steve?"

For a while, Steve remained in thought the silence heavy then after a while

 "I think- I think I understand why they call you a genius Tony" 

Steve beamed  up at him and Tony-to his own surprise- beamed back and keeping an arm over Steve's shoulder led him back to the group "let's see what the genius can do then shall we?" Making said soldier laugh "don't make me the excuse why your egos inflated Stark" Tony laughed "wouldn't dream of it Rogers"

HELLO EVERYONE 

sorry I have not written in a while and tis will probably be the last chapter/story I write for this year. I have been revising and working hard for my A-Levels and Mocks in January which is why I am writing less. Unfortunately this will probably remain for most of next year. Also please do not think I have stopped writing or have no ideas. I HAVE A LOT! again no plans to discontinue ANYTHING please accept this little chapter as an offering of great things to come
