I was woken up by the continuous ring from the doorbell of this apartment. Kabubukas pa lang ng mga mata ko ay napapikit na ako sa sakit ng ulo na naramdaman ko. This whole fucking hangover is what I hate the most when I'm drunk!

Kahit masakit ang ulo ko ay bumangon ako at pinagbuksan ang tao sa labas. When I opened the door, a smiling little woman showed in front of me with a paper bag on her hand.

"Hi, Tipsy," she greeted be before she tiptoed to plant a kiss on my cheek. "Good morning!"

Napangiti na lang ako at pakiramdam ko, nawala lahat ng masakit sa akin nang makita ko siya. There is really that one person who will ease all of your pain just by the sight of them—and it was my Ruby to me.

I watched her walked to the dining area to prepare the foods she brought for me.

"Nagluto ako ng porridge para sa hangover mo," she looked at me as she opened the canister from the paper bag. "Sumasakit pa ba ang ulo mo?"

I smiled as I sighed in relief. I've never been this taken care of in my whole life just because I drank too much. The past relationship I had, drinking in a bar was one of the reasons of our fight. But with Ruby, she's taking care of me this well.

"It is, but it's bearable now," I said as I walked towards her, spreading my arms to hug her. She chuckled. "Thank you for being with me today."

She laughed before moving away from the hug. "Hay, nako, may kasalanan ka kay Henz kagabi!" sabi niya bago isinalin sa bowl ang laman ng canister. "You kept on kissing me last night, ayaw mo akong pauwiin! Papatayin ka raw niya kapag nakita ka pa niyang ganoon ulit sa akin!"

Muli siyang tumawa bago kinuha ang bowl na may lamang porridge na mainit pa, at may kutsara na rin. Iniabot niya sa akin 'yon tsaka ngumiti.

"Eat, so you don't have any pain anymore."

I smiled at her before getting the bowl from her hands. I planted a quick soft kiss on her lips.

"Thank you."

She smiled. "Sige na, I'll help you pack your things after."

"Sabayan mo na ako."

Umiling siya. "Kumain na ako sa bahay."

Naupo ako sa isang upuan, habang siya naman ay naupo sa harap ko. Pinanood niya ako nang magsimula akong kumain.

"Aalis ka na bukas," she said while her eyes are directly looking at me.

I sighed. "I can stay, you know."

She laughed. "Huwag na! Gago ka, don't stay in a place you're not even that familiar with just because of me, 'no!"

Itinuloy ko na lang ang pagkain ko ng iniluto niyang porridge. Sa dalas niya na ipagluto ako, nagiging pamilyar na sa panlasa ko ang mga luto niya. Pakiramdam ko nga, hindi ko na nasasarapan ang mga pagkain sa restaurant, eh. Ruby just cooks so well. She's really in love with kitchens.

When I was done eating, kinuha niya ang mga pinagkainan ko at dinala 'yon sa sink, tsaka sinimulan iyong hugasan. Tumayo ako at sinundan siya. Kinuha ko sa kamay niya ang dishwashing liquid at ang scotch brite bago siya iniharap sa akin.

"Why are you doing these things, Ruby?"

Napanguso siya. "Why? Bawal?" she laughed.

"Don't serve me like that, please."

She chuckled. "I'm not serving you. Ganito rin ako sa bahay."

"Kahit na."

She chuckled again before pinching my cheek. "Okay, last na."
