Midoriya Izuku was 4 when he overheard his mom talking in the living room. It was late and Izuku was supposed to be asleep, but he had a nightmare and craved the attention and comfort from his mother. The little boy crept through the halls, silent to avoid the creaks. He peeked his head around the corner to look at his mother, grabbing her bags.

"No, he hasn't gotten his quirk. He might as well be a fucking quirkles........ No no I get it....... Mhm...... yeah I'll just leave him to join you, no point in staying.......... No I don't care what happens to him.......... If I find him useful I'll just come back.......yeah yeah I get it......... no that doesn't make sense, you couldn't possibly do th- ...... don't interrupt me.... No it's YOU who doesn't understand........ Well did he come out of YOU? Didn't think so....... Okay okay I'm leaving now....... Yeah see you there, bye...... I said bye!"

*beep*

She sighed as she picked up her suitcase and set it to the ground. Izuku ran to her crying.

"Momma! Momma! Where are you going? Why are you leaving? Is it cus of me? I can be good! I can be better! I promise! I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry!"

He sobbed into her leg crying and screaming over and over again "I'm sorry, I'm sorry!" Inko just looked at him disgusted and annoyed beyond imagination. She grabbed him by the hair and threw his body across the room, his back colliding with the white wall. He went into a coughing fit having the wind knocked out of him. He slid to the ground and looked up gripping hard on his shirt. His coughing didn't stop yet his eyes stayed still on his mother. He managed to hack out a "Don't go" still staring at his mother. She hissed at his display, clicking her teeth before slowly going towards him, heels clacking with each step.

"Trash. Quirkless have it sooooo easy don't they. Getting to leech off others, never having to do anything themselves. They don't get used for their quirks. They don't have to care about the no public quirk use law. Tch, useless, that's what you are without me. I was just using you, you're no use to me anymore. You're going to an orphanage after this, have fun."

By now the poor boy stopped coughing. He sat in silence, tears spilling down his face. He was confused, self hatred made its way into his mind. Did she want him to be quirkles? Or not? She was using him? Of course none of those questions made sense in his 4 year old mind. Afterall he was just a child, how could he understand that his mother was leaving him for good. How could he know what an orphanage was. He couldn't, so when the police were called about a child living alone, he was sent to that very place he was clueless about.

The police officer walked him into the large white building with a dark would roof. The door opened to a tall lean woman, holding a baby. The woman had white hair that ombre into black, her eyes were a brilliant royal blue with white skin that had dark purple spots of all sizes and lavender freckles that went down to her neck. She smiled down at the green headed child and held out her open hand. He shakily grabbed her snow white hand and walked in beside her, waving goodbye to the police officer.

The woman closed the door and put down the baby in her hands. The second the door closed she looked at Izuku with uninterested eyes.

"Listen, the only reason I'm taking care of you is because there wasn't anyone else and they decided as long as you're breathing, they'll pay me double. Having said that, I don't care about you and I won't take care of you. You run and I won't hesitate to make sure you never get into a family. Now be good and don't die."

The date that day was March 15th, and he hadn't gotten a quirk yet. Izuku was shocked, the world just kept crumbling around him. First his dad leaves, then his mother, then the police mistreat him, and now the head of the orphanage. He walked in and sat in a chair in the far corner. He brought his knees to his chest, shaking from nervousness. He hated loud noises and a lot of people, so this was a nightmare.

The constant screaming and running of children of all ages, the crying echoing in his ears. The sounds made him relive his own screams and pleas. Begging for his mom to love him, to let him out the house, for her eyes to view him with compassion and not disgust, for her to see him the way he sees her. No matter how much his mother hurt him, no matter how much was taken away from him, he loved her, more than anything. What else was a child supposed to do? It was his mother, the only person always there, and now she was gone. He didn't care about what happened to him, he just wanted that constant. That someone who was always there. He needed that, yet she was gone too. He was alone, and he hated it.

He starts to tear up, caught in his own world he's clueless to the blue haired boy approaching him. He sniffles as he holds in his tears. He wants to cry and scream at the world but he knows he can't. He looks up and jumps to see a young boy directly in front of him. The boy notices and jumps back apologetically. He apologizes, his gaze never moving away from Izuku's eyes. The bright blue eyes met emerald green ones.

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to scare ya, greenie

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to scare ya, greenie."

"O-Oh umm it's alright..... My name is actually I-Izuku Mid-doriya"

"Oh! Cool, my name is Akihiko! I don't know my last name."

"I'm s-sorry"

"What for greenie?"

"You don't know your last name."

"That's not your fault silly!"

Akihiko giggled as he held out his hand to Izuku.

"You don't like all the noise, right? So how about we head out of here!"

"H-how did you know?"

"Hehe, a magician never reveals his secrets!"

Akihiko exclaimed. A proud and smug look made its way across his small petite face. He stood straight and then grabbed onto Izuku's hand. He smiled wide at the green headed boy, the smile being returned by a small smirk.

"I'll take that as a yes greenie!"

The blue head dragged Izuku through the house and to a clear glass door. He turned to Izuku and put a finger over his mouth and hushed him.

"Shhhhhh we're not supposed to be here. Hehehe"
"What!?! Then we should go back!"

"SHHHHHH"

"*whispers* oh sorry"

He slides the door open and they rush outside into the backyard. Izuku looks at the sky and smiles, wide. Akihiko sees it and everything stops. He stares and smiles to himself, proud that he got the shaking, crying boy to smile. Izuku notices and looks back at him, blushing from embarrassment.

"You have a great smile, you should do it more, Izuku"

Akihiko blurted out without realizing. Now both of them are blushing as they turn away from each other. Izuku is a stuttering mess as he tries to calm down his embarrassment. Akihiko just keeps quiet, internally freaking out. Once Izuku finally calms down he turns back around and whispers.

"Okay."

Akihiko's eyes widen as he turns around to see a smiling Izuku. He returns the smile with an even brighter one. This was nice. At the time, Akihiko was all Izuki could think about, and he wasn't complaining.
