Chapter Twenty Two

"Wake up cousin! We're going to the beach!"

Iyon ang nagpagising sa akin. Ang boses ng pinsan ko na nasa kwarto, I opened my eyes and saw him opening the blinds on the window that made me almost blind from too much light.

A little disoriented, I agreed. I thought he was making fun of me. And the next thing I knew is him dragging me out of bed, wearing my pajamas, and put me inside the van like some sort of kidnapping.

I've been rolling my eyes at everyone here inside the van for the past hour that we are on the road.

"Stop it Ate!" saway ni Rain.

"How? You all dragged me into this and look at me? I'm in my freaking pajamas and we're going to the beach?!"

They said that they've tried to wake me up five times and I didn't even twitch, so Pierre my one hell of a good cousin decided that it'll be a good idea to force me out of the bed, like literally, grabbed my hand, forced me to get up and dragged me all the way out to the van.

"You know, we should be the one complaining!" Pierre laughed. "We are the ones who have a hangover and had to get up early and-"

"Well, this is your crazy stupid idea!" I hissed.

Mas lalo lamang itong tumawa ng malakas.  Naiiling na nanahimik na lang ako. Pierre is the one driving, nasa shotgun si Ate Autumn at magkakatabi kaming tatlo ni Ate Winter at Rain sa unang row habang nasa likod ang dalawa pa naming kasama, which is Blaze and Reid.

Ayaw daw sumama ni Abuela kaya kami lang ang mga nandito ngayon.

"Why are you so grumpy in the morning?"

"Just shut up Pierre."

"Stop it you two." mababa ngunit ma-awtoridad na sabi ni Ate Winter na nagpatahimik sa amin.

Sa inis ko ay tumayo ako at lumipat sa kasunod na dulong row kung nasaan si Reid. Na-abutan ko itong nakapikit ngunit halatang gising. He probably has a hangover, alas tres pasado ba naman matapos sa pag-inom.

"You're so loud." sabi nito nang ma-upo ako sa tabi niya kaya kinurot ko nanaman ang ilong niya. "And grumpy." He added while massaging his nose that is now red because of what I did.

Aapila na sana ako sa komento niya when he pulled me and I crashed on his chest.

"If you're still sleepy you can sleep here." He whispered.

Lumayo ako sa kaniya.

"I'm not sleepy, I'm just not in the mood."

He didn't answer and instead took my hand and intertwined it with his. His hand feels warm. I like it.

He then kissed me on my shoulder before resting his head on it.

"I'll sleep then." he said then closed his eyes. "Your cousin woke me up at six saying he thought of something good to do and forced me out of bed." paliwanag niya.

"You agreed with his crazy idea." kumunot ang noo nito sa sinabi ko.

"I didn't, I just don't have a choice." I chuckled.

"You are friends with a crazy guy, live with it."

"Yeah right."

"Stop flirting will you." bigla na lang sumulpot ang ulo ni Blaze sa gilid. "Someone is trying to sleep here." tamad na tamad na sabi nito sabay bigla ding nawala bago pa ako makasagot.

"Guess I'm not the only one that's grumpy."

"No kidding." I kissed his head before deciding not to talk anymore to let them fall asleep.
